Mom has this annoying habit of always saying, "What's that noise?" It usually brings us both running to her to see what's up!
Detective Mitch heard the noise right away and he was on the case! He'd make a pile of money if someone would hire him for real! He just never gives up!
The noise sounded like it was over the top of this window!
This stack of record albums in right beneath the window! He just can't leave any stone unturned!
Gosh, but he's thorough!
You gotta check out this video! If the poor mousie is anywhere near Mitch's nose, he's gonna be sucked right in! hehehehe
Just to let you know, it was a false alarm! No mousie this time! But Mitch stayed busy for a whole hour looking for him!
So until next time...................
Love ya lots,
Maggie
well, after watching that video, I think Mitch is Sherlock Holmes!
ReplyDeleteYes it's a fact, us dales take mouse hunting very seriously.
ReplyDeleteMitch is doing a great job there. Keep up the good work!

going bezonkers trying to catch Mickey Mouse is so fun..Try doing everything you can to make your kitchen as inhospitable as possible: keep your cupboards clean and everything yummy locked in Tupperware. We leave the counters clean as a whistle, void of fine vermin delicacies.sniff-sniff

Maggie: We think you are making those mousie noises to keep Mitch out of your way! But maybe we have been living with Teka too long.
ReplyDeleteMouse-Detectives on Patrol! The price of liberty is Eternal Vigilance...or something like that...
ReplyDeleteWe got tired of sacrificing Mickey & Minnie's relatives to Jurassic mouse-traps, so we got a "Have-A-Heart" special, humane mousetrap. Much barking in the laundry room. Dad checks...Yes! Persephone has chewed the end off the "Have-A-Heart" trap and swallowed the mouse whole!
Back to the drawing board...
Stay alert,
Buster
Hi, Maggie
ReplyDeleteGlad it was not a mouse!
But sure Mitch looks very interested looking for him!
Have a good night

I could have listened to the video blindfolded and NEVER figured out it was a mousing Airedale, right? Well, the whippet waggle heard it and went ballistic! They all jumped up and tried to climb INTO the laptop to meet Mitch! They totally "got" that it was dog snorking, and excited dog snorking at that!
ReplyDeleteHow unbelievably cool!
all the best-
Patience, Servant to the whippet waggl
OMD...Mitch sounds like my Mom's Dyson!!!! LOL!!! Good luck Mitch!

Detective Mitch! we do the same thing when we are on the scent of something. you have to trust The Nose. The Nose knows. Mitch is on the trail of the mouse. it's there somewhere. we hope Mitch finds the mouse before the mouse finds your mommy!

We could use Mitch over here to scare some birds away. They keep pecking at our house. But, everytime Mom confronts them, they take off!!! She wants to scold them so they don't ever come back!

ReplyDeleteMaggie,
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think Mitch will do when he sees a REAL MOUSE NAMED MICKEY? Have you explained to him that Mickey is an OK mouse so that he doesn't try to run him off? Or worse? Imagine the headlines!!!
We're excited you're coming to Florida. Just Harry and I will be driving up -- it's only three hours away -- so we'll look forward to having some wire-dale fun!!
Jake
Wow! Great work, Mitch! Maybe the mouse WAS there and Mitch scared him off! I think that's it!
ReplyDeleteI think this is where that saying "As tenacious as a terrier" saying comes from! Great work!

Wow..thats a pretty powerful sniffer Mitch has there! My mommy would love that around here to look for spiders..shes deathly afraid! She scared me one time cause she screamed and jumped! Mabye I need to take some lessons from Mitch on how to locate them before Mom even sees them!

are mousees like squirrelies?
ReplyDeleteAnyway thanks for the birthday wishes - much appreciated. I really did love that bone, just took me some time to realize it was reallly mine. The good news is that there is another one.
Maggsie!
ReplyDeleteWho needs squeakies when you have a potential mousie intruder? I too have been alerted to a certain something happening in or on the other side of the wall between our living room and the garage. I've been standing sentinel, but I'm nowhere near as thorough as MitchMan.
Does he make house calls?
Goober love,
Stanley
That's really good mousie hunt Mitch! Gotta make sure the hosue is rodent free!
ReplyDeleteOk.. the snorting noises are so funny, Mitch! Way to go to make sure the house was safe of mousies!
