Hi everyone! It's me, Autumn.
The temps are getting cooler here - more like autumn - and mom and I decided to make a big pot of Lobster Chowder!
We melted a half stick of butter and added 3 big chunked up potatoes - sprinkled in bacon salt and celery salt and onion powder and salt and pepper.
Then we added 16 ounces of corn and let everything cook and get kind of soft.
Then we added water till our pot was about two-thirds full and dropped in 3 chicken bouillon cubes. It's beginning to boil and it smells yummy! We'll let it cook for about 1/2 hour till the potatoes are pretty much done.
I'll add the wine, mom - about 1/4 of a cup.
Time to add almost the whole quart of light cream and 10 ounces of chopped lobster meat.
We heat everything just until it's hot (don't boil)!
I can't wait to taste it!
Serve with a chive garnish and make sure you have plenty of oysterette crackers!
See you all next Wednesday!
Love,
Autumn
OMD! It sounds soooooo yummy! You two always have the best foodables! Happy Wednesday!

Sue, you are so inspiring!!! I think I will make a soup with lobster meat next Nonday. I make a big pot of soup every week so there is always something healthy to eat any time of the day or night. Usually it has no meat in it b/c when we can put what ever we want in it. But mext Nonday there will be Lobster in my soup!!
ReplyDeleteThank you!!
