My gram made this fruit stack a few years ago.

I see apple green in the background. My Maggie sure did love that toy~

ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! I grew into liking apple green... I remember just a few years ago finding it too strident, but repeated exposure and a shift in my color preferences... it's now a favorite!

I LOVE the fruit stack. I remember the days when those fruit stacks were all the rage. I believe my mom has one or two. Not hand made but maybe Royal Doulton (I probably misspelled it..)... spendy! But gorgeous!!

Hey, Mitch! It's nice to see an Aussie apple there in the picture. Do you know the story of the Grannie Smith? The story kids are told here is that Granny Smith threw out a box of apples that had gone bad (or for some other reason I can't remember) onto a piece of land by a creek and later found a seedling growing there. It was the first Granny Smith apple.
