Yesterday morning, we heard that our friend, Bogie, had gone to The Bridge. Bogie is one of our oldest and dearest blogging friends. We started reading his blog before we started writing our own, so we've known each other for over 10 years.
Bogie LOVED sticks.
Our fondest memory of Bogie is when Mitch was just a puppy and mom and dad and angel Maggie and angel Mitch decided to head to Nantucket on vacation. You see, we drive our car from our house to Hyannis and then from Hyannis to Nantucket, you get to take the big ferry. Our car drives onto the ferry and then we all get out of the car and climb to second and third levels for the 2 hours and twenty minutes that it takes to arrive on Nantucket. Mitch didn't know how to climb stairs yet and it's a MUST that you know how to climb or you sit all alone in the car while the peeps up above you have all of the fun.
Bogie was the huge inspiration that helped Mitch learn to climb stairs!
Mitch did climb those stairs and he and Maggie and mom and dad had a blast on Nantucket. We are forever grateful for Bogie's help.
In March of 2009, Miss Lulu lost her husband, Klaus, and Bogie lost his dad. It was devastating to all of us and very difficult for Lulu and Bogie but they persevered and moved to Pennsylvania from Oregon and they started a new life. Bogie and Lulu were partners and bestest friends.
Our hearts break for Bogie's mom, Miss Lulu. Bogie was her everything.
Godspeed, Bogie. We will never forget you, buddy. We know that you were welcomed by your daddy and so many others.
Big Aire Kisses to you and your mom♥
Oh Crikey ..... I am so sorry to hear that Bogie has gone to the bridge. I remember Bogie from Mitch and Molly days. That is just so sad. Please give Miss Lulu my love. I'm sending her some special whippie kisses ...

OH NOES! I didn't hear! Oh, this is just so horribles!!! Bogie was a true AireDude, who never let a stick get away, or a situation get him down. I am so very sorry for Lulu, she just must be devastated. Sendin' lots of love and slobbery AireKisses her way. Run free Handsome boy.... Kisses, Ruby ♥
Bogie did a fantastic tutorial for you, mate! We might need that. We don't have any stairs around here, other than a single step to get into the house.
So sorry your friend had to go to the Bridge. It doesn't matter if a dog has lived a long, happy Dog Life, they always leave too soon.
