Well, okay - so I guess they're not REALLY mine but wouldn't they look great on me?Mom bought them to wear in the garden! Mitch and I tease her that we'll never lose her - not in those bright red crocs!
I"m ready for walkies, mom! We can go walkies in them too, right?!
Guess what? My goodest and bestest friend, Putter, also got a pair of red crocs so we're twinsies! We can't wait to see her in her new crocs! Hurry up and post that picture, Putter! We're waitin' girlfren!
You all know that the Rocky Creek Scotties + Java are having a tongue contest, right? It's celebrating their 100 post that's coming up!
You have to post a picture of your tongue and then go to their blog and let them know! Simple!
This is one of my favorite pictures of my tongue! Even Mitch is amazed at how long it is!
And now it's my turn to be amazed at the great job Mitch does getting all the ice cream off the sides of that DQ cup!Make sure you all post your tongue shots and let the Scotties know, okay?
So until next time..................

We Had Watermelon
Mom bought a watermelon at the grocery story and she cut some of it up and served it to us in her fancy goblets! We feel very special!
We both love watermelon! It's so cold and refreshing!Mitch and I are both hard at work trying to lap up these slippery little suckers!
They sure are sweet and yummy!
Stop looking at mine, Mitch! You've got some of your own!
No, you can't have the last one! It's MINE!
Thanks for the afternoon treat, mom! It was very good!
Do you all know that our friend, Ike, is having a summer photo contest?
These are the rules in Ike's very own words:
The rules: email a photo of you that epitomizes summer - swimming, sunbathing, picnicing, eating wallymelon, whatever it is you do this fine time of year.
Only one photo per animal (this rule can be broken if you have more than one photo that is totally pawesome - you will know if you can break the rule.)
All submissions must be in by 10:00pm CST on Sunday June 28.
My mom will pick the 5 finalists and then you will vote!
email: emilyandian @ gmail.com (take out the spaces)
Let the competition begin! Woot!
Ike needs more photos for his contest so please ask your mom to buy you some ice cream or watermelon and take a cute picture and email it to Ike!
So until next time.....................
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch

Kookies from Aunt Lydia
Mom has been a member of a Yahoo Airedale group ever since I was just a puppy. She is mostly a lurker but she really enjoys being a member because it is the nicest group of very caring Airedale people and she's learned so much from all of them and frankly, she can't imagine life without her group!
There is a very special lady on this group and we call her Aunt Lydia and she bakes kookies and she has contests and she bakes kookies and she raises money for rescue and she is a wonderful, wonderful person who gives and gives and gives!
Well, a few months ago, lots of people on this Airedale group decided that we wanted to do something very special for Aunt Lydia and to make a long story shorter, Ann Curran was contacted and it was decided that she was going to do a magnificent painting for Aunt Lydia!
A lot of Airedale people donated photos that Ann could paint from and add to this work of art for Aunt Lydia and the people all chipped in money towards the painting and this was a HUGE secret! Nobody could slip and tell Aunt Lydia and ruin the surprise!
It is a masterpiece! Take a look! Isn't it just fabulous beyond words?!
It is framed and it hangs in Aunt Lydia's house and she enjoys it every single day of her life!
And because Aunt Lydia is a very generous person she decided that she would bake kookies and her two Airekids, Alice and Dave, would select 4 names and those fortunate doggies would get kookies in the mail!
Well, guess what? Our names were drawn and our kookies arrived in the mail this past Wednesday!
This is the card that Alice and Dave sent us! Aren't they such handsome Airedales? We're not exactly sure of their ages but we know that Alice is close to my age and Dave is close to Mitch's age!
And these are the homemade turkey patties kookies! Mom said girls first and I was ready and waiting! I didn't need to be told twice!
These turkey patties are YUMMY!!!
But kookies weren't the only thing in the box! There were also very cool and very useful bookmarks in there too!
And also a beautiful purse pup pin that mom is absolutely in love with! The Airedale is copper and she's wearing a pearl necklace collar and she's draped over a silver purse! Is this too cute?! We apologize for the poor quality picture! The flashie beast gave us a very hard time with this cute pin!Thank you so very much, Aunt Lydia! We are totally blown away by your thoughtfulness and generosity and thank you Alice for drawing our names! We owe you one!
And please give your handsome brother big smoochie kisses from the both of us!
So until next time..............
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch

Wheelie Wednesday - My New Hat
Hi everyone! It's me, Autumn!
Do you notice anything new about me?Mom made me a new hat! The colors are more autumn-like than my spring hat, don't you think?
I'm back in the garden in my new hat and the Evening Primrose is in bloom!
And so are the Daylilies and a few Lupines are still hanging in there!
This is mom's latest addition to the garden!
It's a bright orange gazing ball! I just love the vibrant color!
I can see myself in there!
We have tons of this pretty yellow flowers in bloom and mom has no idea what you call them! Does anyone know?
Update: Zim let me know that this plant is called Yellow Loosestrife! Thank you so very much, Zim! Mom and I sure do appreciate it!
I came inside to get a drink of water and look who I found sleeping away! My big sissy, Maggie! She sure does look comfy!
See you all next Wednesday!
Love, Autumn

True Colors Thursday - Black and Tan
Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaa, one of the special days that we wait for all week long! It's true colors Thursday and today's special color is black and tan together!
Playing this meme is great fun! Remember when you first started blogging and you saw your world through different eyes - blogging eyes - because you needed lots of new and exciting things to blog about! This is the way we feel about true colors Thursday! We look at colors differently now!
If you'd like to play just let our hostess Miss Blue know!
This chip-carved plate is black and tan!
This Emmert's vice is in dad's workshop. This vise just happens to be called a turtle face and believe it or not, it's a collectors item among cabinetmakers and furnituremakers! It looks kind of blue in the picture but trust us, it's black and the handle is tan!
This is dad's Indian Centennial Chief motorcycle! It's black and it has a tan seat!
Mom made this black and tan table runner a couple of years ago! Can you see the Airefaces?!
This is called intarsia and it was made by a lady named Barbara Curtiss! She is the head of our New England Airedale Rescue (NEAR).
Didn't she do a magnificent job!
This is an antique sampler that hangs in our dining room!
This is a spalted maple purse and it was made by a man named Shinichi Miyazaki! It doesn't hold much! A couple of credit cards and a few treats for us is about it!This hutch in the dollhouse is black and tan!
We know that everyone expected us to post a picture of ourselves because it's black and tan week! haha we fooled you! Well, we had to post just one, right?!
Next week's color is maroon!
So until next time...........................
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
