Guess where I went this morning?
To PetSmart and I had my nails grinded! I've never had this experience before and it was okay! I didn't hate it!
I get to go back again in a month. Maybe next time I can get get my nails painted blue so Puddles and I can be twinsies!
Dad is at a barn workshop this weekend and we're helping mom bake Double Chocolate Cookie Bars for Auntie Jill for tomorrow's lunch for the workers.
You probably think that we won't score anything, right? WRONG! Our smart mom bought Oreo cookies that are chocolate AND vanilla!
You swooped in again on me, Molly! You wait till mom's face is behind the camera and then you go into action. You are such a THIEF!
Thanks, mom!
Double Chocolate Cookie Bars
2 cups finely crushed cream-filled chocolate sandwich cookies ( 24 cookies)
1/4 cup margarine or butter, melted
1 (12-ounce)package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 (14-ounce) can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup chopped nuts - we used walnuts
Combine cookie crumbs and butter and press firmly on bottom of 13" X 9" baking pan. In medium saucepan, melt 1 cup chips with the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla. Pour evenly over prepared crust. Top with remaining chips and nuts.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
This is before the bars went into the oven.
And this is 20 minutes later. yummmm
Mom says none for us. boooooooooo.
Dad will take them to Auntie Jill tomorrow.
So until next time..........
Love ya lots,
Molly and Mitch
Oh painted nails like Puddles. BOL. Maybe I should get mine done girly pink. Have a lovely Saturday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Painted nails ... Like PUDDLES... OKAY... just don't start ACTING like her though.
ReplyDeleteMy mom has this EXACT SAME Recipe.. only Different..
Use the the Vanilla Oreo Cookies and Butterscotch Chips... and guess what? WE can have THOSE kind.
BUTT my mom says SHE would like YOUR Recipe BETTER!!! Prolly beclaws she WOULDN'T have to share with us.
YUM!!! Looks delicious! You know what we should do? Pick a day and we should all get our nails painted! Whaddaya think?
ReplyDeleteHi Molly and Mitch, wow those look super delicious, but they're all heavy with chocolate so that's not good for dogs. Maybe on the way to Auntie Jill's tomorrow, you guys will get ice cream. Oh Mitch, we understand how you feel about your sister, our little sister plays rough with Owen. They're sneaky you know and fight dirty.
ReplyDeleteMy mouth is watering from that recipe! Molly you are a clever girl to jump in front of your brother to get the first cookie.
ReplyDeleteCindy
Molly, you're a brave and patient girl to let your nails get grinded-don't think I woulda let that happen!
ReplyDeleteAnd yum to those chocolate bars...
not mention the 5000 calories per bar! yummy
ReplyDeleteI had my nails grinded once and did not like it. Ambrose doesn't mind it much. We do wish dogs were allowed some chocolate because those bars look too delicious. Hope your mom gives you some other treats to make up for it.
ReplyDeleteYour friends,
Niamh & Ambrose
well you guys are having a busy day....but painted nails....hmmmm
ReplyDeleteWe don't like anything done to our nails. Mom says some very bad words when working on us!
ReplyDeleteMom lets our vet trim our nails because we stand still better for him than for her. Besides she says black nails are hard to cut since she can't see the quick.
ReplyDeleteThose cookies look yummy. Our Mom makes a similar kind and she says she's been thinking about making a batch this weekend. We won't get any though. We;re all eating potato chunks. Dad baked some up for us this morning and as soon as they cool, we'll each get one.

I bet your Moms is soooo happy you don't mind your nails done. I had (tried to) my nails grided, and I FREAKED OUT! But then, I don't like anybody touchin' my feeties that much anyhow. Lucky Moms.
ReplyDeleteIf I can EVER get my Ma off her hinnie and into the kitchen (hahaha) I will get her to make that delish sounding desert! Yea Moms for buying the combo vanilla cookies! Good job.
Kisses,
Ruby

We are very glad that you didn't hate getting your nails grinded. If mama even thinks of grinding ours...we run in the opposite direction and run and run til she cannot get us!! For some reason, we just don't like our toenails to be touched...
ReplyDeleteYou all have the bestest snacks!! xoxo Chloe and LadyBug

They look DELICIOUS and so do the two of you. Such cuties! Have fun! Ros and Oscar
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh that nail grinding sounds terrible. And then baking and none for you? I think you might need some legal representation.
ReplyDeleteI hate it when my human cuts my nails so I can definitely relate to your feelings towards nail grinding.
ReplyDeleteThe chocolate dessert looks really yummy. BTW, my human tried your blueberry dessert recipe for a BBQ party and it was a hit with all our guests! Thanks for sharing!
Ohh.. painted nails are very nice! Can't wait to see your nails next month.. I am sure a paw-dicure would be very enjoyable!
ReplyDeleteMolly, can you have a word with Digger who makes the most monstrous fuss over having his toenails done. Maybe you can embarrass him a little into growing up?
ReplyDeleteMitch, you need to teach that young whipper-snapper a lesson! On the other hand, she IS your little sister, so I guess letting her go first is okay. Sometimes. You just don't want to make a habit of it! ;-)

Mum started grinding our nails recently!!! We don't mind it at all...Gracie never has, and lately I haven't, but I resisted in my younger years, big time! Oh, now Mum has to go get something sweet, :) talk laters!
ReplyDeleteOh those look yum yum, but I don't think I would be allowed any either.
