On Wednesday, I graduated basic obedience!
I did break away once and I did some playbows and tuckbuttruns and mom and my instructor, Kathy, didn't find it amusing (deadbeats) and I had to refocus and get back on track.
You'll never guess what I got for a graduation "gift".
Yesterday, I got no breakie and mom took me to my vet to have my big girl surgery.
What kind of a graduation gift is this I ask you?!
I now have a Poodle leg and a shaved belly and a huge incision but I did get to come home and not spend the night at the animal hospital so that's a good thing! When I got home, I spied that evil lampshade cone sitting on the counter. I sure hope that I can avoid wearing it! So far - so good!
So until next time...........
Love ya lots,
OMD, you means to tells me they gave you surgicals as graduation pressie?????? Oh my, what a rip off! My mum did dat to my brudder on his birfday...hehehehe. Glad you gotted to come home though.ReplyDelete
A BIG HUGE congrats on your graduation, dat is FABULOUS.
Congratulations on your graduation. But don't your parents have any idea of what a graduation present SHOULD BE? Definitely not an operation or a trip to the vets.ReplyDelete
We hope the cone isn't necessary...enjoy your little bits of graduation cookie when you finally get them.
XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
Well, Miss Molly, that is certainly an odd way to celebrate. But congratulations on your graduation from me and Pea!ReplyDelete
Graduation AND surgery? What an exciting week. Congratulations all round.ReplyDelete
Congratulations on your graduation! We think your Mom and Dad picked a good pressie. And we do hope you can avoid the cone.ReplyDelete
Love your graduation picture!! That's such a nice cap and you're sitting so proud.ReplyDelete
That's not nice about your sugery but it's all over now and it's for the best. Don't tell Keltic but he'll be going in soon for his surgical too.
Your mom and dad had picked up the weirdest pressie for your graduation, didn't they?ReplyDelete
Congratulations on your graduation and you look great with the mortar board hat. The star stuffie is pretty but I think the HUGE cookie bone is the best!
Do remember that you have to take a bit of rest after the girlie thingy and JUMPING is a NO NO. Hope you don't need the Elizabeth Collar either.
Firstly congratulations Molly. Secondly we hope you heal up soon and will be back to your usual self ASAP. Have a fabulous Friday all.ReplyDelete
Best wishes Molly
Congratulations on your graduation Molly! We can see from the photos that you are a star pupil. Sorry about the operation though. Hope it is not too painful and that your belly doesn't get cold now that it is all shaved.ReplyDelete
Niamh & Ambrose

The surgery was not a nice gift.
Love the photo with you wearing the mortarboard and sitting so proudly. Big girl surgery? Not something we boychiks have experienced...but we've had the big boy alternative!!!!ReplyDelete

Congrats Molly on the graduation. I hope mom and dad make it up to you for giving you surgery as a gift. I think a trip to your favorite drive in eatery is in order.ReplyDelete
You are such a good girl Molly we are very proud of you!ReplyDelete
You look so cute in your graduation cap, we can hardly stand it!! We think your Mom did a great job assisting you, but we know who the real star is!!ReplyDelete
Lilly, Piper, Argie and Ivy
Wow, we don't want your Mom to give us any presents for anything special we do. That is one really bad graduation gift. You did a great job anyway and we're all proud of you.ReplyDelete
Morgan, Sebastian and the Porties
Congrats on the graduation!! But.....surgicals for a present?? I think you got totally ripped off. I think you need ice-cream for that dirty trick!!ReplyDelete
Jazzi and Addi
You are a big girl now! It doesn't seem that long ago you were just a wee pup. Congratulations on graduating (such a cute hat!), and I hope you chew on that bone that you were given at obedience, instead of your stitches. Trust me, wearing a cone is no fun if you haven't worn it before you need it. After my big boys op I had to wear the cone and it freaked me out, I frooze, started drooling, whimpered and was not happy - so now mum's trained me (with lots of treats) to wear it randomly every few months so I don't get bothered by it anymore - I wander around looking like a lampshade happy that I might get treats.
Anyway we hope you are better soon and that you all have a great weekend,
Love and woofs,
Hi, Molly -ReplyDelete
Congratulations on graduating obedience school. Mama really likes that hat - it looks good on you.
Have a good weekend.
Hershey and Kaci
Well...Congrats on da graduation! That's a cause to celebrate..ReplyDelete
The surgery...not so much.
Molly, I am so proud and happy for you. But the reward kind of stunk, if you ask me. You got a cookie that you can't have and a sore tummy and you might have to wear the cone of shame. Sheeeesh, your Mommy needs to look up the word reward. Just sayin.ReplyDelete
I hope you feel better soon.
Yay fur you and your graduation from obedience class, but your present does leave a little to be desired. ;) BUT we is happy daty ou is home and everything went okie dokie. Paws are crossed dat you can keeps avoiding da evil lampshade!
Woofs and Licks,
Maggie Mae and Max

Your pal, Pip

You look lovely on your Graduation Ceremony!
Aaaand.... nope... it was not the best graduation present....
I am sure you will be fully recovered soon!
Kisses and hugs
Congratulations on your success, Molly. You should be very proud of yourself. Too bad about the vet visit, but you will be doing just fine in no time. Hope you can escape the dreaded cone.ReplyDelete
Woos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
Yay Molly, hope it doesn't sting too much.ReplyDelete
You had a busy few days, Molly. Congratulations on your graduation. You look good in your black hat. I hope you don't have to wear the lampshade, either. Maybe your mum could put two strap t-shirts on you, one from the front and one from the back and pin them together. That's what my mum did for me and it was way more comfortable that I think that lampshade would be.ReplyDelete
How rude of those humans... Where's the cake and party?
Congrats on your graduation! Luv the grad hat :DReplyDelete
Yap, I agree, surgery is hardly a nice pressie for all your hard work! Maybe you'll get lots of special treats to compensate for the bad timing ;)
Crossin paws you don't have to wear the cone!
Waggin at ya,
How could anyone not be amused by playbows and tuckbuttruns ? I mean ... really?!!?ReplyDelete
Congrats, Molly! We're really proud of all the hard work you (and your mom) have done!
Good luck avoiding the party hat! Hope the healing goes well!
Yay for ur graduation! :)ReplyDelete
Howdy Molly, sorry about your 'gift' but congratulations on passing. Sheesh, a bone maybe, a cookie, some ice cream but a surgery? Hope the cone stays on the bench. No licking ok? Hugs to you sweetie pie. No worries, and love, Stella and RoryReplyDelete
That seems like a gyp as far as graduations presents go. Congratulations anyway.ReplyDelete
You rock, Molly! Those were some tough tests that you passed. And then you sat with that distinguished hat! Wow!ReplyDelete
Sorry about the big girl surgery. Our girl has to have that sometime soon too. You two can commiserate. I hope that you feel better soon.
Oh Molly, well done, you clever girl! And I so love you in that graduation cap!!!! I do hope your hurts are getting better.ReplyDelete
Oh the indignities. We can't believe your mommie made you do that on your birthday. They told us it was for own good. They weren't the ones with the owie on our tummies. Milk this for all it's worth and get lots of treats.ReplyDelete
Lots of licks,
Bug & Bandit
Oh poor poor Molly!!! BUT now you are a big girl!!! It will be all better real soon pretty girl!!!!ReplyDelete
Hugs and kisses to you and Mitch.
Love coming your way Molly, Aunt Fern
Congratulations! Cocco the mini pig is in awe of you :-)ReplyDelete
Surgery, you got your big girl surgery as a present for your graduation. I think you should have FAILED. Maybe the good presents come with failure.ReplyDelete
Thanks for being a friend
Sweet William The Scot
Congratulations, Molly, on your graduation! That looked like a tough - but fun - test and well done for passing with flying colours!ReplyDelete
And congrats also on passing through your Big Girl Surgery - hope you're healing well and not having to wear the Cone of Shame! I had to wear that and I hated it! But I was a very naughty girl when I had my Big Girl Surgery - the vet said i had to be quiet for 1 week but I managed to run around like a maniac when no-one was looking and I tore open my stitches! So it was back to the vet to be re-stitched and ANOTHER week of "rest"! Oh no!! :-)
Honey the Great Dane
Oh Molly, I could cry at the second last picture! Congratulations, mom must be so proud! I can't get over your graduation gift too, hugsss baby, i hope you feel all better.ReplyDelete
Not sure what your surgery is about but I hope I'm guessing it right.. Gee, that hurts??
Sorry about not coming over as often as I like, but I really enjoy seeing you kids happy and healthy everytime. Am sorry about the friends you've lost along the way...
