The Spirometer

Dad uses this device every single day - doctor's orders!
It's called a spirometer.  You suck really hard on the mouthpiece and those 3 balls go from the bottom to the top.  It's not so hard to get one or two of them to rise to the top.  Number 3 is the tuffy.
Dad aces them daily.
Molly is afraid the the spirometer and barks at it and backs away from it when dad has it in his hands and is ready to make it work.
There she goes!  Come back, Molly!   It can't hurt you!
These chocolate covered berries were delivered to our house this morning by the FedEx man.  yummmmm
Our evil parents won't share the berries with us but mom did share the pretty bow that was fastening the box closed with Molly.
Big deal, mom!
Our dad continues to heal - one day at a time, dad.  We're right there beside you ♥

Love ya lots♥
Mitch and Molly

  4. Maybe when not in use by dad, that thing could be used to create a Molly forcefield and keep her out of mischief.

  6. Maybe when your dad's done with it, he'll let you play with it. That way you won't be afraid of it anymore.

  12. Our friend, Millie's mum has to use one of those spirometers, so we know how difficult they are. She can only get the second up and make the third move. Glad your Dad is doing so well...keep it up, Dad!

    Bummer about the berries....

  13. Those things are funny looking. We think you should have to blow into it not suck on it.

  14. I am so glad that your Dad is healing, I know it takes time, but every little bit helps. Mommy has one of those spitometers too. She was recently in the hospital with blood clots on both of her lungs, but she is much better now. I hope Molly gets used to the noise and I love her pretty bow.

  19. Molly sounds like Floyd. He's scared of EVERYTHING!

The washing basket, the drink bottle, the phone, his dinner bowl...

  20. Glad to hear your Dad is doing better! Our Dad had one of those after he had his pulmonary embolism - he was eventually able to get all 3 balls to the top, too, although Mom said that meant he was a 'blow hard' (which makes no sense to us, as you suck on it, and don't blow, but whatever!...) Heehee! Keep taking good care of your Dad!

  24. Yeah! You dad does so well on that spirometer! It isn't easy at all as my mom's dad had that many many years ago.

Pretty Molly looks so cute with that pretty bow on her head. :)

  25. Well, it DOES look scary. Really.
I would have eaten the bow. Not that I did that to a big purple one just yesterday or anything.

  29. We are glad that your Dad is doing better but we would not be sure about the spirometer. Are they as bad/noisy as a vacuum cleaner?
