The Spirometer

Dad uses this device every single day - doctor's orders!
It's called a spirometer.  You suck really hard on the mouthpiece and those 3 balls go from the bottom to the top.  It's not so hard to get one or two of them to rise to the top.  Number 3 is the tuffy.
Dad aces them daily.
Molly is afraid the the spirometer and barks at it and backs away from it when dad has it in his hands and is ready to make it work.
There she goes!  Come back, Molly!   It can't hurt you!
These chocolate covered berries were delivered to our house this morning by the FedEx man.  yummmmm
Our evil parents won't share the berries with us but mom did share the pretty bow that was fastening the box closed with Molly.
Big deal, mom!
Our dad continues to heal - one day at a time, dad.  We're right there beside you ♥

Love ya lots♥
Mitch and Molly

  1. Hmmmm....guess that thingy can't hurt you, butt it still looks a little strange! Now those goodys on the other paw...well, hope you can sneak some of those things when the pawrents aren't looking!

  2. We have been AWOC (absent without computer) and are so glad to come back and see your dad was able to come home for Christmas. You are right..that is the best pressie ever.

    Blessings to all

  3. Mom remembers those only to well when she was in hospital..they were always making her blow in it to help keep her lungs clear. Yum....those berries sure looked good. We hope your Dad gets stronger and stronger every day.

  4. Maybe when not in use by dad, that thing could be used to create a Molly forcefield and keep her out of mischief.

  5. One day at a time, Dad...Glad you're aceing your tests!!

    -Bart, Ruby and Otto

  6. Maybe when your dad's done with it, he'll let you play with it. That way you won't be afraid of it anymore.

  7. OH Molly that thing is for Dad and it is not for you!!! Dogs!!! LOL
They think everything is for them!!!
    Glad Dad is improving!!!!

  8. Onwards and upwards daddy. We are rooting for you. May your recovery be a full and speedy one.
    Have a fabulous Friday.
    Best wishes Molly

  9. We would stay away from that thingy too, Molly.

We are SO glad that your dad is improving EVERY DAY.

  10. Howdy Mates, glad to hear your dad is getting better. One day at a time is the best advice for sure. Hey, we were wondering. Does your mum and dad have ONE chocolate a day??? Our mum would stuff the lot down at once hehe. Take care everybuddy.
No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

  11. Oh Molly that spirometer won't hurt you and it helps your Dad! I think the bow really works for you Molly and you were lucky to get it.
    Thanks for being a friend
    Sweet William The Scot

  12. Our friend, Millie's mum has to use one of those spirometers, so we know how difficult they are. She can only get the second up and make the third move. Glad your Dad is doing so well...keep it up, Dad!

    Bummer about the berries....

    XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy

  13. Those things are funny looking. We think you should have to blow into it not suck on it.

  14. I am so glad that your Dad is healing, I know it takes time, but every little bit helps. Mommy has one of those spitometers too. She was recently in the hospital with blood clots on both of her lungs, but she is much better now. I hope Molly gets used to the noise and I love her pretty bow.

  15. Well I am so happy your dad is doing his exercises and getting better!

  16. VERY glad to hear that your Dad is feeling better!! Our mama knows about that spirometer's not so scary though. xo Chloe and LadyBug

  17. We've never seen one before! We're so glad your Dad is feeling better.

  18. I'm so glad that you are both helping your dad to heal. "One day at a time" is a perfect mantra.

Don't worry Molly - that thing won't hurt you!

  19. Molly sounds like Floyd. He's scared of EVERYTHING!

The washing basket, the drink bottle, the phone, his dinner bowl...

  20. Glad to hear your Dad is doing better! Our Dad had one of those after he had his pulmonary embolism - he was eventually able to get all 3 balls to the top, too, although Mom said that meant he was a 'blow hard' (which makes no sense to us, as you suck on it, and don't blow, but whatever!...) Heehee! Keep taking good care of your Dad!

  24. Yeah! You dad does so well on that spirometer! It isn't easy at all as my mom's dad had that many many years ago.

Pretty Molly looks so cute with that pretty bow on her head. :)

  25. Well, it DOES look scary. Really.
I would have eaten the bow. Not that I did that to a big purple one just yesterday or anything.
    Yours sincerely,
