This is the "before" shot.
We now have soft cushy padded carpeted stairs!
And it's so much fun to run up and down on them!
Molly didn't think so at first. She ran away when we tried to encourage her to climb.
And she slept downstairs all by herself. She's a stubborn girl, ya know!
No more gate at the bottom to keep us on first floor! For now, mom has taken it away and if we're good pups and there will be no unsafe hooligan antics on the stairs, the gate will stay gone forever!
Mom has one regret - that she didn't carpet the stairs 15 years ago so that angel Maggie would have benefited. Maggie really didn't like the stairs for her entire life but she dealt with them because she wanted to sleep with her family.
BTW, mom did not paint the masterpiece of Maggie and Mitch and Molly. Miss Victoria painted the original of Maggie and Mitch. The original is on our sidebar. Mom took the picture of the painting to ipiccy and added Molly and "painted" the background and textured it and cartooned it! If you've never tried it, it takes time but it's so much fun! Mom couldn't paint a portrait to save her life!

Wow! Your new stairs are awesome!!! We can see where it would be a little scary though. We would have a real problem if our stairs were not carpeted...we have an issue with our legs...being so short and all! Pretty sure if we didn't have carpet, we would just sail right down on our butts! BOL!! So glad that everybody got to sleep upstairs together!! Tell your mom that we are pretty sure that our mama is worse than her at painting!! She does everything digitally!!

It will be so much nicer having the slippery stairs carpeted.....our mom prefers carpet through the whole house......so do we...wood floors are slippery and dweeb won't play anywhere but on the big rug.

OMD..those are some STEEP stairs. I still would NOT attempt to go UP or DOWN because I'd probably fall on my teenie weenie head!

Y'alls stairs look great. So what your saying there is hope for mom. For years she has wanted to get rid of our carpet and get wood floors. Yep it's different but yet the same thing. Enjoy your stairs.

Carpeted stairs are so much safer, but my momma thinks they are super hard to clean. Well, not a problem for you two, right? No shedding. Enjoy!
