We're helping mom in the kitchen today!
The making of the pumpkin pie~~
It's ready for the oven, Molly~
While the pie is baking, we're helping mom make Nanny's stuffed celery. We made it for the Halloween pawty and we're making it again because it's a big favorite here.
Make sure we get every drop of cream cheese okay, Molly~
This is Nanny's recipe written in her own handwriting from so long ago. We never got to meet Nanny. She passed away before angel Maggie so Maggie and Nanny never got to meet each other either.
And that's not all. We helped with the cardamom bread baking too!
Our masterpiece is out of the oven! And seeing as it has us on it, that means that it's ALL for us, right mom?!
Can we be your helpers again tomorrow, mom? We're very good at turkey preparation!
So until next time............
Love ya lots♥
Mitch and Molly
Nothing even compares to those old recipes

OMD OMD OMPumpkin Dale PIE... Your mom is a genius... we mean that.
ReplyDeletethe pie looks TOO GOOD to eat.
Awwwww that recipe fur the stuffed celery sounds super... we have ALMOST the exact same recipe from Our Angel Grandma... she used all that stuffs EXCEPT the Shrimp. AND it is in HER handwriting also... which makes BOTH recipes EVEN BETTER.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and to your peeps.
You're using Nanny's old recipe...wow, that is going to be delicious!
ReplyDeleteYou can't beat those recipes handed down through the family, we have several still in use.
Enjoy !!!
And a very Happy Thanksgiving to you and your peeps

SHE loves pumpkin pie. Don't have it in Oz. Maybe SHE should try making her own. Love the Aire touch.
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful to have recipes or things in the hand of your mother. We have letters....precious.
Our mom was trying to read your grandma's recipe to see if she could recreate it, and we are laughing so hard we are holding on to our pug tummies...we get to eat our pumpkin everyday cold chopped up in our food...nothing like your house where it is warm out of the oven without the firemen standing on alert.

Happy Thanksgiving! What a lovely pumpkin pie, I'll bet it tastes yummy. My Mum had recipe like the stuffed celery except it saved a step; we didn't stuff the celery just used the shrimp and cream cheese mixture as a cracker or veggie dip.
ReplyDeleteYou are the best kitchen gadgets!
ReplyDeleteGreat pastries - great ornament!
