This the weekend that our dad has his annual timber frame class. This year, dad will be teaching class at The Dudley Farm. This was a restoration project for dad and the Northford Timber Framers and in 2002, they raised this barn. Angel Maggie was there!
These are some of the other buildings on the property.
Chickens!
And a turkey who seems to want to be on the inside of the fence~
Dutchman's Breeches~
And 2 oxen. We don't know their names. No one was around to tell us.
These animals are huge!
And we hear very docile, thank goodness!
Dad and Uncle Dave are setting up the classroom.
We baked a lemon bread for all of the hungry students for the first day of class.
We'll be doing more baking for our Tour of Barns day.
Stay tuned...........
Love ya lots♥

ReplyDeleteThere was an old covered bridge in the next county that a truck over weight brought part of the structure down. It was completely restored by a group who restores them. It is great to see it back. When we go that way we go a mile out of our way to drive through the old covered bridge.
ReplyDeleteThanks for being a friend
