The Duck Egg

Mom offered Molly a nice fresh egg that was just laid a short time ago by one of Speckles duckies.
 No thank you~
Then she offered it to me.
Yes please!

Brian's trailer is loaded with some of the timbers.  It won't be long now~
So until next time..............

Love ya lots♥

  1. Don't show Treacle she will be after eggs all the time, in fact probably helping herself from the eggs on the counter. At least you will have a shiny coat from the egg. Hugs, Treacle & Susie x

  6. Oh do I love eggs! I usually get 'em hardboiled or scrambled though—not that fresh! Must have been heavenly!

  7. Eggs are yummy! Once, when I was still a young pup, a robin built a nest in the crotch of the pear tree, right at my eye level. (Robins can be really dumb sometimes.) One morning, there were four lovely warm eggs in the nest. As soon as ghostwriter looked away, I swallowed those eggs whole! She says it was just as well because I would have gotten them sooner or later. We hope the robin realized her abysmal real estate choice and built a new, and better hidden nest.

  9. What?! A blog about two Airedales that I've just now discovered? I don't currently have an Airedale (I do have a terrier mix), but they are a family tradition. I grew up with an Airedale mix and my grandparents used to raise them. My mom also "inherited" two with their own trust fund when I was in college. Can't wait to see what Mitch and Molly get up to!

  13. Dear Molly,

WHAT??? You turned down an EGG?

    Dear Mitch,

Pawesome looking egg! Yum! We have Chickens who make us eggs, but we never get the whole thing like that! Does it taste different because it came from Friend Duck instead of Friend Chicken?

You are very luck! Enjoy your egg!

    Cobi

  16. A duck egg, that sounds delish! I've had normal chicken eggs (sometimes when Mom makes eggs for herself in the morning she'll only use the whites and mix in one yolk with my breakfast kibble, YUM!), but never duck! You are so lucky!

  18. What a lucky dog, Mitch! You're lucky that Molly doesn't like duck's eggs so you get them all to yourself!!!!

I used to work someplace where I got ostrich eggs every now and then. They are BIG!

  21. Mom says she won't buy a dozen eggs just for us. She's so mean. Sometimes she does scramble them for us though, especially if someone has a sick tunny. We like it best when she mixes cheese into them.
