Flower Friday - The Poppies

We're joining Dory again for Flower Friday.    Mom's favorite flower is the poppy and these poppies all come from seeds.  Either she sprinkled the seeds or they self-sowed and planted themselves.
Auntie Lydia gave mom these seeds so they're true Seattle seeds!
We never planted this color but we'll take it ☺
The white ones come back year after year.  It's such a shame that poppies don't smell pretty.  They sure should!

This orange poppy spreads everywhere.  It's actually pretty impossible to get rid of but who would want to?!
 You're not a poppy - you're an egret!
Mom planted these Flanders poppy seeds this year and they are coming up so tiny.    She never thinned the seedlings so that could be why.
This is a better picture of the Flander's poppy up close~
We just love, love, love the poppy ♥
Happy Friday!

Love ya lots♥

Don't let Dad near them though...He decided to clear our driveway of weeds, then as a good neighbour did next doors as well...unfortunately they were growing ornamental poppies around theirs...not anymore they aren't!!!!

  16. We have never seen poppies grown around us. I would think our weather would be fine for poppies. Perhaps next year we will get a pack of see. Your poppies are beautiful.
    Thanks for being a friend

  19. Hi hi hi! Ojo here! There is much green in your garden! And your grass too! We are all brown, apart from the lettuce and kale. Lettuce and kale are yucky. Can I come to your garden?

  20. People who have poppies in their gardens say they're easy to grow, but people like me who throw seeds all around the place each year can't seem to grow them. It's very mysterious. I love them.
