New Handles

Our dad is making new handles for old chisels.    He starts out with wood that looks like this~
 He turns the wood round on his lathe~
These are all of the old chisels and their old handles. 
 Dad buffs up the chisels on his grinders and makes them sharp and buffs them to a shine and then they all get new handles.
 And he stains them and oils them and they get a finish like glass - so silky and beautifully smooth. 
 Someone is at the door!
 Go see who it is, Molly.
OMD - we're getting pizza delivered for our break, Mitch!
 Absolutely you've come to the right place!
 I don't have spare change for a tip.   How about a trick, Mr Pizza delivery man!
 Time to go back to work.
What?  Do I have something on my face?!

    Oh dear, my Dad is drooling!!!! I'm not sure if its the chisels, 'cos theys beautiful or the lathe...he WANTS one!

    Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh your Dad is most talented...those new tools look too purrty to use. I can see why you two like to 'help'in the shop. The pizza guy is good incentive.

    Oh my gosh your dad is so talented, our dad doesn't do stuff like that, they are very beautiful!!! So was the pizza.

    We love seeing the tools that your Dad makes or remakes. They're like little pieces of art.

    Those are beautiful! I like to sit out with my Dad when he's in his shop too. He makes all sorts of stuff. Even handles for his antique tools that he buys! *ear licks* Noodle

    Man, your Dad is good with the wood. My granddad was a pattern maker for the ships during WWII, he was pretty good too. And one of his sons is now a cabinetmaker, he's really good.

    Such talent. The woodworking I mean. LOL. Pizza yummy. I'm thinking Pizza for the appetizer for the Valentines Day Dinner. I'm thinking cutting into tiny hearts for appetizers. Then the Cowboy and I can eat it for our dinner!
    I'd love to come and visit and tour that fabulous shop!
