Our Beautiful Snow

Last night, we got a couple inches of snow and the snowfall was followed by rain.
What happened to my beautiful snow?
It has this nasty hard crust on top!
Look - I can stand on snow that's at least 6 inches deep and not fall through!
We're expecting 50 degree temps and lots of rain and high winds today.    If this crusty stuffs doesn't melt soon, we'll have a skating rink in our driveway, mom.   You better watch your step.  You've fallen too many times on the ice as it is!
We'll promise to go nice and slow for you - no pulling and no twirling - you have our word!
Love ya lots♥
Mitch and Molly

  2. My goodness, what a lot of snow ! Maybe when the 50 degree temp arrives, it will melt and lessen the chances of falling down. Springtime is coming soon, with gorgeous blossoms on the trees and sunny days. Warm wishes to everyone, from Marina and Daryl :-)

  4. Ooooh, you can go snow-skating now! I love doing that! Mom thinks it's "dangerous", but I think moms get paid more to think like that.
    Stay safe!

  5. Unless there's a cat. We always forget about not pulling if there's a cat.

  9. Crusty snow is about the only type of snow we get here. We would welcome some fluffy white snow.

    Aroo to you,

  10. Oh yes, we love snow too, but that crusty stuff is treacherous. Tell Mom to be very careful. Hope you get some more fluffy snow soon. And us too:)

  14. OHHHHHHHHHHHHH Mitch and Molly sending lots of hot kitty breaths to help your crusty crunch stuff to melt. This has been one crazy winter weather.

Monday we had sleet/freezing rain/snow and it was sooooooo cold.
Yesterday we awoke to high wind and sideways rain then it was 60 by afternoon.
Kitty Kisses on your cold noses!!

  15. That last picture of Molly where she looks so innocent!!!! Just like Treacle!!! Sorry your lovely snow has turned to blocks of ice. We live on a hill and hate when this happens, it is not fun trying to get out either on foot or in the vehicles. I hope your Mom stays safe.

    Hugs Susie x

  17. Dear Mitch and Molly,

Oh no, your beautiful snow! I do not like it when it gets the crust! First of all it is slippery. And second, if you fall through the crust, the edges are sharp and can hurt! Bring on the soft snow any day!
