Last night, when mom and I went out do last minute peepee's at 9pm, the snow was just beginning to twinkle down. We went out this morning at 3am, and it was raining and my beautiful snow was already mushy.
Now it's almost noon and the rain has taken a break - long enough for us to check out the yard.
My sissy's boyfriend was here about an hour ago and he plowed our driveway. Bless him 87 times over!
It's still very icy and very slick and mom decided that there was no way she was heading down the steps with me.
So we went through the garage and out the back door and past our poor icy Rosemary.
The Dogwood tree is weeping and covered in ice.
The Bittersweet berries~
And the Holly berries~
This is just wet snow.
Wet snow is not fun snow. You can't see from this angle, but 3 long-needle Pine tree branches have already cracked and fallen to the ground and we are hoping that no more fall.
It's starting to rain again and we need to get ourselves inside, mom!
Right now, our temps are 30 degrees F. In a few hours, the temps will drop like a rocket and the wind will pick up and it's possible more branches will fall. We are praying they don't fall on power lines and we lose our electricity. There is no generator here.
Tomorrow, will be an icy cold bitter day and mom says no walkies for either one of us.
There are many of us on the east coast experiencing this nasty storm. Stay safe and warm, everybuddy!
Love ya lots♥

ReplyDeletebrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr... stay warm - and dry!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Cold, wet and icy. No walk days..ugh. Keep warm and maybe it's great weather for cooking and TASTING!
ReplyDeleteWe hope you don't get any more of that ice. An ice storm makes things look all beautiful, but is not a nice thing when trees start falling down. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteIt's icy and snowy here too and the temperature is only 15. Tonight will be brutal. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteWe must have gotten 1/2 foot of snow and it is extremely cold out -like -30C cold. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteWHAT?!? No walkies?!? That is a Bad Storm Day indeed. I hope tomorrow brings lots of fun inside things (like food puzzles!), and I hope no more branches fall. Stay warm!

Yikes! Snow is fun, but ice is NO fun. We have had none of it, this year. That makes us a little bit sad. All terriers like a bit of snow play!
ReplyDeleteWyatt and Tegan
That's a lot of ice you got. We hope it doesn't damage many trees. Around here we just got snow and 2 feet of it!
ReplyDeleteIce storms can be so much worse than snow storms. Despite the ice, the trees do look very pretty. Tell Mom to stay safe and not slip on that ice. Hope she has some Yak Trax like our Mom has. And let's really hope you keep your power.

Stay safe! Those pictures of winter plants are exquisite.
ReplyDeleteBrrrr! Hope da power stays on!
ReplyDeleteWe love snow of any kind, but the rain and ice is just awful! Ever since Mom broke her ankle on ice under new snow two years ago, she is real afraid of ice, but with her Icebugs, we can now walk on ice no problem. Hope your trees all stay up and the ice goes away after the cold spell. Be careful out there.
ReplyDeleteOh my Dogs Molly...
ReplyDeletesnow is messy but Ice on Snow kicks it up the impossible and scary.
I send my 87 blessings to Sissy's beau too. What a great guy he must be and I bet he is fun to play with too.
You and Mama be careful out there no ICE Skating tricks in the yard!!
Here's hoping the ice covered bushes bounce back
Hugs C ecilia
Oh no, wet snow is no fun. We had lots of snow but it was the pretty light and fluffy kind! Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteCharlee: "Oh boy, that's quite an ice glaze you guys have there, Molly!"
