Nature Friday

We are joining Rosy for Nature Friday~

Maybe the Phil the groundhog was right about spring coming early.   The pussy willows are blooming!
There is a burl on the tree right across the street from our house.
Have you ever seen beautiful bowls that are made out of tree burls?

And this is a walnut burl German chest~
My mom loves beautiful wood and she could go on and on with pictures all day long.   If you are interested, Pinterest has more beautiful burl pieces.

This rock heart has been on this property since we moved here~
Happy Friday, everybuddy!

Love ya lots♥
Molly

  2. Happy Friday Molly & Mom we just love that wood. I inherited a Walnut glass cabinet from my Grandmother and I just love the wood but I have never seen burls made into objects they really are beautiful. What a great stone, our Boys loved collecting stones when they were little and they both have one each as paper weights and the others they collected are in our garden near their den with all the shells they collected over the years too.

We can still see you have some snow.

    Have a wonderful weekend.

    Hugs, Susie & Treacle xx

  6. That must've been a BIG burl to make a whole dresser out of! But it's so pretty.

  7. We went around the yard yesterday looking for signs of spring. We didn't find much. The trees aren't budding yet and no flowers are popping up. We're having a storm today but maybe after that the signs will be there.

  8. Many fruit trees have blossoms here too, but it's cold. I need some warm to know spring his coming.

    Molly is a pretty girl.

Have a woof woof day and weekend, Molly. My best to your mom. ♥

  13. Mom isn't familiar with those burl bowls, but they sure are beautiful. What a lucky find with that heart stone - it must have been placed there to welcome you and Mom.

  18. Hi Miss Molly. We thinks you are a very pretty girl, like us. (But I am the only terrier in the house.) What a cool, heart-shaped stone! And we didn't know about burls, but we found out when we asked Mr. Google. It was nice to come visit. XOX Xena
