Tasty Tuesday

Guess what mom made yesterday.   PIZZA!    She hasn't made pizza in forever!
She found fresh whole wheat dough in the bakery section of the grocery store.  She spread pesto that she bought in a jar, all over the dough and then arranged plum tomato slices over the pesto.   Then she sliced fresh mozzarella and put that on top of the tomatoes.   Then she sprinkled her Mrs Dash's Italian seasoning over the mozz followed by parmesan cheese and then black pepper.  Then she topped it all with olive oil.   Next time she will reduce the amount of olive oil.   It's ready for the oven.
 Bake at 475 degrees F on the bottom shelf of your oven for approx 10-12 minutes until the crust is brown and the cheese is bubbly.    Let it cool slightly before cutting and serving.
 Trust me, mom.   They are not fooled that you ate only 2 pieces~
 To say that it's yummy is an understatement.   This pizza is awesome and so easy to make!
 More please!
We have lots left over.   Who's in?!

    Teka is on her way! She loves pizza, but complains that she only gets the crust.

    If you are ever in Trader Joe’s they have pretty good pizza crust too!

    We'll be right over. Our mom is coming too so she can eat the main part of the pizza and we will finish the crusts for her. Is that okay?

    My mom loves to make her own pizza too. Our favorite thing is the pizza bones. We enjoy them as much as you do :)

    That looks extra super yummy! I think my ghostwriter might want to try that recipe. (Be careful about eating the pesto, Molly. It has a lot of garlic in it.)
