Ever since YAM auntie introduced mom to jigsaw puzzles on her blog, she has been working them daily - many in one day - too many in one day!
So she decided to check out ebay and see how much a puzzle cost - one that was second hand and had no pieces missing.
Mom hasn't touched a "real" puzzle since she was in elementary school. Do you know how long that's been?!
She found one and it arrived and the obsession started in MY playroom~
There is another large foam rubber piece to the right of this one that is full of puzzle pieces.
So many times during the day, mom is in my playroom telling herself that she has other important things to do besides work a puzzle and then I'll hear her say, "Molly - just one more piece and off we'll go." Yeah, right.
And three days later~~
And the really sad thing - she has another puzzle coming in the mail tomorrow.
I hope this obsession passes quickly.
Love ya lots♥
Molly
oh we know that "just one piece or just one minute waiting time" ... but you could snitch one piece of that jigsaw... only one... ;O)
ReplyDeleteOhhhh Molly your mom has very very good hand eye coordination!! What a beautimous puzzle. Will she prepare it for framing?

PeeS That jigsaw does look look great
What a cute scene on that puzzle. It's too bad you can't help your mom complete her puzzles. Maybe if a piece falls off the foam you can rescue it for her.
ReplyDeleteMy ghostwriter loves puzzles! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteHow fun. I love doing these puzzles too. It's a healthy obsession. Well as long as you're taken care of properly and I'm sure that's happening.
ReplyDeleteHave a woof woof day, Molly. My best to your mom. ♥
Our peeps like to start a puzzle on the kitchen table, then every time they walk thru the room they stop and work on it for a few minutes. Sometimes they sit at the table for a long time and try to fit pueces. They could be playing with us.
ReplyDeleteDon't suppose knocking over that table would help....you may have to put her on a timer. You NEED walks and attention! That's our opinion.
ReplyDeleteHhhmmmm....We have been known to steal a puzzle piece or two from the pawrents, maybe that would work?

It is a great hobby and one the Lay would enjoy too!
ReplyDeleteMy mom doesn't like to do puzzles at all, but we have friends that love puzzles. They even made a special puzzle table to make them on. At least it keeps your mom out of trouble, right? A busy human is a well behaved human.
ReplyDeleteOh, that puzzle looks fun! I've been obsessed with the online ones lately too. Funny thing, my sister and I were looking at the boxed ones when at a store today, and I was thinking about getting one! Luckily I resisted, because I can definitely see it sucking up time when I should be doing something else. At least with the online ones, I can choose smaller ones that don't take too long. :)

Tell us about it, Molly!!! Our Mom is addicted too - she has one going on the kitchen counter now. She says it is a tough one. Timber tried to help her again, so she knows she is short at least one piece. Your Mom's creation is beautiful!!!

Your mom is amazing!!!!!!!! Wowzers. Her creation is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love puzzles! I have a couple that I used puzzle glue on and framed. I like the ones on blogs too.
ReplyDeleteOh gurl, nows your MOms has done it! BOL!!! Just like my Ma, gets into puzzles and befores you know it, you have like 87 boxes of puzzle pieces that you can't even chew up!!!! Wells, it sure is purty! And I guess it keeps them out of the bars.....BOL!!

Ooops, no comment today. Leaving immediately. No likey like puzzles. Make the Zoolatry Human dizzy and confused and stressed out ...
ReplyDeleteBYE ...
Oh but Molly, I think you could have great fun helping her 'rearrange' the pieces. I mean, I'm sure your mom would appreciate the extra challenge...
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!
Bertie.
Mom loves puzzles too but it has been a while since she has done one!

I love jigsaw puzzles and still do them today but you are right it is finding the right place for them to go when you are working on them. A good friend of ours had a large table and had her phone on it and when she was chatting to friends she would have a puzzle on the table as well and could do some pieces whilst on the phone. That's in the days of house phones unlike now with mobiles!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the finished picture. Can't wait to see your new puzzle finished.
