Nature Friday

We are joining the LLB Gang this week for Nature Friday.

Off we go~

We found this owl hanging out in front of Miss Laura's house~
This somersaulting frog was on her stone wall too.   She sure has interesting visitors!
We think this is Coreopsis.  The plant was almost as tall as mom was!
We're not sure what this white fluffy flowering wildflower is but it's everywhere~
Mom and I are sure loving these autumn temps.  You're teasing me, mom☺

And back at home............

We did our homework to learn that this mottled brownish "ball" attached to the Golden Orb spider's web is her egg sac.   We found a second one beneath her in the Dutch Iris greenery.  We will have to keep an eye on it in the spring and see what happens.

 We found a Periwinkle flower~

And the Holly has berries already!

Happy Friday, everybuddy!

Love ya lots♥

Molly

We got early berries here too - a sign of a bad winter, my granda always used to say. Your wildflower with the seed heads looks like a Hawkshead; similar to a dandelion in appearance, but taller and branched. Hugs and wags , YAM-aunty xxx

  7. You found some cool things to show us today. We've never seen a spider's egg sack before.

  8. What wonderful things you found on your walk! We haven't seen any kind of orb weaver spiders anywhere around our yard. Maybe the birdies are eating them before they get big, or else too many of our neighbors are using pesticides on their lawns. We kind of miss them.

  11. First of all, we love your header!!!

Lots of unique decorations in your neighborhood, especially that frog. And such pretty flowers. One of our neighbors has Irish yews, and we saw berries on them today.

    Have a great weekend.

  15. What a great walk and you found some really interesting things. We just love the sunflowers at the end of your walk with you Molly. We cannot grow them in our soil in the garden as it is too wet the seeds just rot. Thanks for sharing. Hugs & Love Susie & Treacle xx
