Terrific Tuesday

 I GOT SNOW!    

It's our first real snow fall of 2023 and even though it's only about 6 inches deep - I'll take it!

I can't reach it, mom!  A little help here.

Nature Friday

 We are joining Rosy this week for Nature Friday~~

Our Amaryllis stopped blooming a couple of weeks ago and mom cut it back like the directions said to and she hasn't watered it since.   It has started to grow again!    Help - what do we do?  We don't want it to bloom again until Autumn!

We have a cold raw wet day today and still not a drop of snow that so many of our friends are getting although they are saying possibly next week.   We shall see!

Nature Friday

 We are joining Rosy this week for Nature Friday~~

Yesterday, we had temps in the sixties close to seventy - so unheard of for February!  What a nutty winter this has been!

The wild onions are beginning to grow~

We don't know what this is but it has pretty color so it's making mom happy!

Landlord Bob must be getting another antique vehicle delivery.   The last one he got - and we won't mention this to Landlord Bob, but mom thinks they should have taken that one to the dump.    It was all rusted out and the truck door wouldn't even stay closed but it didn't take him long to get the motor running.    He's obsessed with restoring these vehicles and when they're all done,  they are literally works of art.    Landlord Bob is a master at his craft!

Tasty Tuesday

 Mom decided that she wanted to make a Lentil Sausage Soup.   She's never used orange lentils before and she thought it might be fun for a change.

She started with a bouillon base and added  onion, celery, carrots and the sausage.    We read that orange lentils don't take as long to cook as the other colors so they got added  after the above ingredients were cooked.

I love celery!

She added her favorite Mrs Dash seasonings,  some parmesan cheese and an entire container of fresh spinach.

Did I mention that I love spinach!

The soup came out very yummy and orange lentils were actually creamy in the soup.

Our Secret Garden.   Trees continue to fall around it and it continues to deteriorate.

Nature Friday

 We are joining Rosy this week for Nature Friday~~

Mom went to a local nursery earlier in the week to see some pretty color and to walk amongst the beautiful houseplants.     There were Gerbera Daisies in bloom~

Primroses were blooming and they were actually outside.   It was 40 degrees this particular morning~

White orchids♥

Pink Orchids♥     Mom is so afraid to buy an orchid cause she knows she will never get it to bloom again.   

She decided on and came home with the cheerful Primroses!
