My favorite time to use my treat machine is after I eat my dindin. It's my dessert! I have no problem getting out treats for myself. Sometimes my paw works~And other times I push down on the bone lever with my nose and I get rewarded! Mitch is lazy! He won't learn how to use the treat machine. He waits for me to push down on the bone handle and then he races in and swipes my treats right out from in front of my nose! He's getting me aggravated and I'm most upset and tattling to mom! Look how sad he looks because I won't operate the treat machine and let him have all of MY treats! Come on, Mitch! You need to learn how to do this yourself! You can do it! We know you're not a dumdum!
You better hurry up, Mitch because they're almost all gone! I'm a hungry girl! So until next time............
Hey, Max! You're going to Nantucket with us! It's our favorite place in the whole wide world! And because you're so special to us, we wanted to share Nantucket with you! You are on Nantucket on our summer vacation with us and we are just about to dive into my dad's strawberry sundae!
Are you going to lick all of the whipped cream or save some for us?!
We love you, Max!
Friday we got a Valentine in the mail and it was from Mona and her mommy! Thank you so very much! The two of you are so sweet! And we also got a sweet, sweet Valentine from Asta and her mommi and daddi! Thank you! You guys are the BEST!And one from Paco and Milo and Maya! Awwwwwwwwww, we love you guys! And thank you once again for helping us treat Max to our dad's strawberry sundae on Nantucket! We wish we knew how to photoshop like you guys do!And Friday our mom was at the grocery store and she saw red marshmallow hearts - like the yellow and purple and pink peeps that you get at Easter. These were basically the same thing only heart-shaped and red. She took about 6 pictures of us while we patiently waited to eat our red hearts and every single time, the red heart was washed out by the flash of the camera! grrrrrrrrrrr - Come on, mom! We're starving to death here! So mom did the only thing she knew how to do. We took our photo to picnik and covered our washed out woosie pink marshmallow hearts with bright red ones like they are supposed to be!Happy Valentine's day to all of our friends!
We got snow!!!!!!!!!!!! The weatherman named this storm Barbara and she is only our second snowstorm of the season! Twelve inches was predicted but they goofed! We only got about 6" of snow but that's okay - it's white and cold and beautiful! There is nothing like the smell and the taste of snow! Mom keeps telling us that snow doesn't smell and it doesn't taste but she is wrong! Look how happy Dauby and the duckies are to have fresh snow! Their water sure does look cold! The duckies are waiting for dad to feed them. "He'll be there in a minute, duckies! He's snowblowing!" Time to go inside, mom. I need to melt these snowballs off my feet and legs! So until next time.............
True colors Thursday arrives again! If you want to play along, just let Blue know! Today's color is cinnamon!
The real deal! This Hermann teddy's name is Cinnamon and he's on top of the real deal! A wheeling Cinnamon teddy! Mom's cinnamon coffee cake candle. It does smell good!Next week's color is shocking pink!
Hi everyone! It's me, Autumn! You know that pair of forever socks that mom has been working on FOREVER? Well, you won't be hearing about them any more because she's all done knitting them! yahooooooooooAnd guess what else? They fit! Hi everyone! It's me, Francesca!
A package came in the mail for me last week! Mitch is just as curious to see what's inside as I am! I wonder what these little tiny jars are for? What a strange gift for someone to send me!Make sure you come back next week! This will be one week you won't want to miss!
Last night was mom and dad's celebration of life pawty! It started around 3:30PM and mom and dad didn't climb into bed until 11:30PM! This is late for them and for us!
As you know,we've been supervising the clean-up of dad's workshop all week long and Mitch even helped with the making of the Manhattan clam chowder and the chicken soup and I helped with the chicken appetizers and were we invited to the pawty? NO! We ask you - how fAire is this?
Mom said guests brought appetizers or desserts or spirits and there was enough food to feed an entire country and were we invited? NO!
Dad ordered 10 pizzas and at the end of the night only 2 pieces remained - one for me and one for Mitch and did we get our fAire share? NO! Check out the heart of the barn cake that one of the talented guests made! We got a heads-up that this blueberry pie made it into our kitchen late last night along with an apple pie! Our tongues are ready and waiting! Just look at these luscious desserts! yummmmmmAmy is famous for her cheesecake and yup, mom got a nice BIG piece of it! And did she even think of bringing a smidge of it into the house for two starving pups? NOPE! Kris brought mom a beautiful quilted square that she made! Mom just loves the colors! And Jan brought her beautiful flowers on such a cold night! Thank you, Jan!
Guess what? We didn't get any of that snowstorm that Lacie, Stan and Scruffy and so many of our other friends got! Not even one flake! The musicians played and they sounded awesome! Don't they sound great?!
Mom and dad said they had a wonderful time! The food was delicious and their friends are the best! Maybe there's hope for us to be able to attend next year. We can hope, right?!
We had so much fun grabbing at these mini-marshmallows for our entry for the MangoMinster event!
I got it, Mitch! No need for you to go for it! My mouth is ready and waiting! YIKES! I need to get out of here fast! Don't come down on my back, okay? I think this one is mine too, Mitch! Come to mama, little marshmallow! The Terriers are in the ring and because there are so many of us crackerdog Terriers, Mango separated the boys and the girls but there will only be one Terrier winner! Check out the Terriers if you haven't done so already!
This week's color is a breeze for us because mom LOVES pewter! If you want to play along, just let Blue know and you're in! This beer stein is pewter! Gram gave mom the pewter inkwell and the feather on the right belongs to Dauby, our swan! When mom and dad bought our house, our kitchen was painted turquoise and hot pink! Yes, it is shocking and mom was most anxious to lose those horrible colors! The chimney cupboard doors behind these pewter candlesticks were also painted turquoise and when mom removed the many coats of paint, these candle flame burn marks appeared! YIKES! Luckily someone put out the fire before the house went up in smoke! The flame marks are there forever as a constant reminder! Mom loves pewter and she always loved gram's set of pewter dinnerware! One year gram surprised mom and sent her the whole set! The boxes weighed a ton! Only very special company gets to eat off of these beautiful dishes!Pewter salt and pepper shakers! Mom bought this pewter Santa when she was in Minnesota one year visiting gram and gramp when they lived there. She bought it in a Scandinavian shop called Ingebretsen's! Next week's color is cinnamon!
Hi everyone! You don't know me yet! My name is Francesca and I'm the new wheelie sissy around here! I was put up for adoption at that place called ebay and my new mom saw me and had to have me! I was advertised as a charming little chap who originated in Northern Ireland by the Pedigree Toy Company around 1965! Hey, I'm not a chap - I'm a girl and it's pretty obvious, don't you think?
Mom named me Francesca because when she was a pre-schooler, she had a girlfriend that lived across the street from her and her name was Francesca and her family called her Francie! Mom always loved the name! Mom got her Francesca and I got a new loving forever home!I don't know if you can see how dirty my wheels are in this picture but mom said that I must have traveled very far because they were just filthy!I now have sparkling clean wheels! Do you see the pretty purple collar I'm wearing? It was Maggie's collar when she was just a wee girl. She was kind enough to let me have it for keeps - for my very own! Thank you very much, Maggie! I'm feeling most welcome here and as long as you'll have me, I'd like to stay forever! And Autumn tells me that mom loves to knit and sew and decorate hats and that if I'm patient, I'll have my very own wardrobe in whatever color I desire! I'm a very patient waiter, Autumn, and I love purples and blues!I think I'm going to like it here with my new family!
Mom went grocery shopping and look what she came home with! She said that she had no intention of buying any and she actually wasn't even looking in the ice creams' direction while she was wheeling down that aisle. But then she told us that something was calling to her and she just had to turn her head and look! And when she did, a smile broke out on her face because GingerSnap ice cream reminded her of the fun we all had on Nantucket on our summer vacation and there was no way she was leaving the store without it! Isn't our mom just the smartest?!
Check out the mini-gingersnap cookies in there!Yes, I know I'm not supposed to have ice cream with compromised kidneys but I won't eat the ice cream part - I'll eat the cookie part! Thanks, mom! Yup, we're remembering the fun times we had on Nantucket! This was a great idea you had!
