The Barn Raising

What a hot day it's been but a great day for a barn raising!

At 8AM dad had all of the timberframers up on deck introducing them and Aunt Amy led them in a very meaningful prayer.  The Northford Timberframers made donations to a few people today but one little girl in particular not only got green papers donation but also a new bike!  Megan has had heart problems for almost all of her young life. She sure was happy with her new bike!
This is the first bent going up. It's actually bent #5.  Remember that three bents are already up!
Mom took a video but we have to apologize in advance because it's the first time that mom has taken a video with her new camera. It's sort of fuzzy and you really have to turn your volumn up if you want to hear dad yelling lift, lift, lift, but you'll get the idea.  This is bent #4 going up - the final bent of this barn.

There were tons of people at the raising and pretty much all of the food got eaten!
The timberframers worked all day on this project!  Wait till you see all that's been accomplished!
Right now, there is a pizza and beer pawty going on over at Crump's but mom said that she missed us TONS and she's pooping out on the pawty to stay home with us!

So until next time.................

Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch

Those salads you all worked so hard making must have been a big hit - they sure looked tasty to Mom.

  20. Wow! Moma wishes she could make those letters really really big! WOW!!!! She's gonna put those pictures and the video up on the big screen so we can see it in supersize! She's been so excited to see this barn raising ... she's pretty obsessed (if we say so ourselves) about this whole project, reading and researching and going all the way back in your blog to learn about it. Needless to say, she can hardly WAIT to see the barn for herself. (We think it's pretty cool too, but honestly, we'd probably like resting at home with you guys. Too much excitement can kinda do us in.)

CONGRATULATIONS!! (And we KNOW the little girl is gonna LOVE her new bike! So cool!)
