Early Sunday morning, this is what the timber frame was looking like. The siding on the barn was moving along .
And the rafter crew was working on rafters. See those angled beams reaching for the sky? Those are queen posts and purlin plates and rafters get nailed on them and make the roof!
Isn't Cindy's t-shirt the coolest?
Guess what? Our mom had her very first massage ever! Aunt Maureen is a message therapist. She was busy all day long giving massages and she donated all of her hard-earned money to the timberframe transplant fund! That's not mom in the chair. That ladys name is Jean.
We had surprise visitors today! The Stoney Creek Fife and Drum showed up!
These guys win all kinds of awards and we were lucky enough to have them play for us!
The barn is looking pretty good too, right? The roof is coming along nicely!
Aren't their costumes just the neatest?! They're inside the barn and they are LOUD and awesome!
And guess what mom brought home with her?
Aunt April baked a beautiful flag cake and it was frosted with whipped cream and decorated with strawberries and blueberries! yummmm
And guess what else?
I'm a princess! You didn't know that, did you?!
All of the lady timberframers were princesses this weekend!
So until next time...................
Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch
