He Was Here Again

Yes, he visited again.   Dad dropped him off on Saturday evening.
And I was NOT happy!   I was ready to leave!  Mom let me stay down here for about 10 minutes and then she made me come upstairs where it was cooler and she gated the stairs so I couldn't go back down.
So I hung out in the bathtub  where it was safe.   I spent lots of time in the tub during those nasty fireworks and some peeps still don't know that the Fourth is long gone!  Enough already!
 It's my newest favorite spot☺
Life was better the next morning with Mackie for walkies~
And once mom and I patrolled the yard for woodchucks and found none, Mackie and I were free to run and play☺

Mackie loves to roll in the grass and rip it out.
 Your tongue is grassy, buddy!

One more race around the yard~

I'm pooped!  Time to head in and get a drink and have a nap!
Thanks for the visit, Mackie.   Day 1 wasn't the best and day 2 was a wee bit better!
In all honesty, I like having mom all to myself.   Am I selfish - YES!   Don't hurry back☺

Mom wants to thank all of you for all of the wonderful birthday wishes!  We started our day with a nice long walk and for dindin, she had soft shell crab and a few fries and she shared with me☺

Love ya lots♥
Molly

  5. Happy birthday Mom sorry we missed it yesterday. Being an only dog does have its benefits sometimes but I am sure Mackie is glad to see you two. Yep I am still hearing those fireworks boomers also. I'm not afraid if Lee holds me I watch them but Molly you can't see them if you're in the tub.
    Thanks for being a friend

  6. I just love the pictures of you in the tub. Treacle would never dream of getting in there, as she hates it when she has a bath!!!! I do hope the fireworks have finished now. Treacle just barks at them and as we seem to get fireworks all through the year for no particular reason she is used to them now. Although we are in a valley so on New Year's Even it does sound like World War III has started and even I don't like them then!!!! I hope the weather cools a little for you but you looked like you had fun with Mitch in your garden. Hugs, Susie xx

  10. I have often wondered if Mackie visited or if you ever visited your dad. Glad you didn't have to stay in the bathtub the whole time! *ear licks* Noodle

  12. First of all, we think sleeping in the bath could be a bit dangerous. You never know when it reminds the peep you should have a bath. We know you love the wild games with Mackie, but we understand wanting him to go home, too!

  13. Our great-brother Zim used to love to nap in the downstairs tub! He said it was nice and cool!
We hear the occasional firework still, too. Enough is enough!

  16. A Happy belated Birthday to you, Susan. I have been enjoying your groundhog stories [but glad we don't have one here]. And laughed when I saw Molly's favourite safe spot. I had an old dog who loved the same spot, and after she became quite arthritic, I'd have to help her into the tub, and she was a BIG girl :)
Thank you for your comment on Foxy's painting!

  20. Crikey ...... I fully understand you wanting Mackie to go back home after he's been visiting. I feel the same way when Herbie comes to stay. It's great for a little while but I like my Mum to myself too. You hang out in the bathtub??????? OMD! I've never heard of any other dogs that do that.
