Shady Dog Soap

Mom got a box in the mail a few days ago.  It was from Shady Dog Soap.   Oh no - this doesn't mean more baths, does it, mom?

See the pup on this postcard?   Her name is Lucie.    Lucie and her sissies, Addie and Hailey, used to blog a couple of years ago.
They don't any more.   We can keep up with them now on facebook.

Their mom, Miss Staci, makes these wonderful homemade soaps!

This is what Miss Staci says~~

It all started with a desire to create something. Something that could be useful. A creative outlet to get lost in with an element of danger.

A cross between chemistry and art, cold process soap is the chemical reaction between the fats found in oils combined with lye. Add some color and the design possibilities are endless. This process creates a gentle soap that is cured for 4-6 weeks producing a preservative free long-lasting bar.

We did the research. Meticulously formulated each recipe, choosing skin loving vegetable based oils for our canvas along with cosmetic grade colorants and clays as our paints.

Each small batch of handcrafted soap is generously hand cut by Staci. Each soap bar is creative and unique. Being naturally sensitive to scents, our soaps are gently scented with essential oils or phthalate-free fragrances. Our products are tested on humans, not animals. Just ask Lucie!

Lucie, our Border Collie/Great Pyrenees mix is our inspiration. Our heart dog. Every second we have with our beloved dogs is a blessing.

I can't even tell you how satiny smooth these soaps are and how wonderful they smell - good enough to eat - that's how good!

I am so relieved that this soap is not for me☺

Mom says that the soaps make her skin feel satiny smooth.   She went with the orange scented soap first.   No, she didn't come out of her shower smelling like an orange☺
 She sure does love her Shady Dog soap!
BTW, mom ordered 3 bars of soap and Miss Staci sent her 5 bars!  Thank you, Miss Staci.  That was so incredibly thoughtful of you!   Mom is a very happy customer!
