But now that Mitch is here it's more of a circus atmosphere! Mom and dad still do the same things but mom has to take Mitch out to do pee and poo before she does dishes and naturally after he's "empty" he has loads more energy to terrorize me and race through the house grabbing stuff as he goes.
This slows down the whole getting-ready-for-walkie process and I don't like it at all!
I haven't been able to wear a bandana since you-know-who arrived because mom is sure that Mitch will yank and pull and make me mad so she doesn't even want to go there!
FINALLY we're able to set off!
Here we are just starting out. Mitch already has someone's dirty old sock in his mouth! He's absolutely disgusting! He picks up everything along the way -bottles, banana peels, smashed cigarette packages, sticks, pinecones, worms - you name it and he'll find it!
He likes to speed up so he can show off to mom and I who are pretty much always out in the lead! Yea right! We really want to see your latest catch!
He got tired of carrying the old sock after about a quarter of a mile and dropped it but his mouth didn't stay empty for long!
We came across this - two beer cans! One was smushed and the other one looked like someone had just discarded it! Mitch is trying to decide which one he wants to carry home! ewwwwwwwwww!
I can tell you that he didn't learn any of these bad habits from me! Dad thinks that the neighborbood should pay him for all the clean up he's doing! The problem is that he'll pick up a beer can and carry it for awhile and then drop it in someone else's yard - probably a non-drinker! hehehehehe
At this point we're in front of some little girl's house that's waiting for the school bus to pick her up! Can you imagine what she's thinking when she spots Mitch with a Bud in his mouth!
He then decides to drop the can and start nipping at me! Can't a girl even enjoy her walkie! OMG the things I have to put up with!
It wasn't long before he found another can to embarrass me with! Look at him! How mortifying it is for me to be seen with this rat picker!
Ahhhhhhhhhh finally - some great smells to sniff and Mitch is acting quite normal for once!
Until next time.............
Love ya lots,
Maggie
Hello Maggie, I like the way you watch over Mitch... A real little mom ... Big Kiss from VĂ©ronique (Faya is still sleeping....)
ReplyDeleteOh, boy, that was hilarious! A can of Bud in his mouth! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI don't know what to tell you, Maggie. Even I don't pick up stuff like that. Dad just cleaned out the garage and there was an old, dead frog and after sniffing it for a second, I walked away. Mom didn't even have a chance to yell that annoying "leave it!" command :)
Puggy kisses

Garbage is to ROLL IN - not to pick up and carry.

AWwww...I know you think he's a pain but I'm quite jealous of you. I wish I had a little brother or sister! In the meantime I must continue taking care of puppies at the dog park while I'm there.
ReplyDeleteI don't know Maggie! I think Mitch is trying his hardest to help clean up the environment! I mean, I did it that when I was his age! Now I can bring the stuff all the way home cause my jaw is so nice and strong! Just wait until THEN!

ReplyDeleteOMG, Mitch kills me with his beer "drinking" and all the other things he finds:)That picture of him with the can in his mouth is priceless ... Maybe something about the beer numbs his tooths?:) Talk to you soon, Maggie!
Maggie -
ReplyDeleteSo much to catch up on. I love it when mom reads to me all the adventures you are having with Mitch. I think I would like having a brother, but mom says we have to get a bigger house first :(
We also loved seeing Emma - she is very cute and fluffy. Mom really likes golden retrievers, but says their fur care is alot of work.
Oh and we had a question - where ever or how ever did you get that cute tailwagging airedale on the side of your blog?? That made us laugh out loud!!
Have a happy day - Mom and I are dying Easter eggs today, she even said I could have one!!
Love, Dory!!!
I like carrying things too on my walks but I'd rather find a full can of beer than an empty one! J x
ReplyDeleteI'm ashamed to say that I remember the picking everything up phase. Yep, slugs, snails, cigarette ends, beer cans, plastic bags...mum said she neer realised how much litter was around until she took me out as a pup!
