Pegetables and Nonna

Awhile back we noticed that Joey and Tanner's mom had found this new treat that looked so yummy and intriguing to us so we asked mom if she couldn't look for these Pegetables next time she went to Petco. Mom did check - actually she checked several places and she always came home empty handed.

Last week we got a CareALot catalog in the mail and mom was flipping through it looking for a new clipper blade to groom us when she came across the treats that we've been asking for like FOREVER!

The CareALot box arrived in the mail and guess what? We got to try Pegetables and long last!

These are the neatest looking little treats! Mom got us the corn cob ones and boy, they sure do look just like little ears of corn! They don't last long but they sure do taste good!

Today would have been my Nonna's 103 birthday! She passed away a few years ago. Nonna is my grandpa's mom and you're probably wondering why I'm telling you this. One of my nicknames is Nonna! Yup, dad calls me Nonna when I hold my mouth a certain way! He thinks I look like a sweet old lady! Can you imagine? Who are you calling OLD?!

See the way I'm holding my lips? Does it look like I'm toothless? My Nonna sure wasn't!

Do I look like a Nonna to you?

So until next time................

Love ya lots,

Maggie

  7. Those treats look so yummy, I will have to get mum to get some of those for the party. I am so glad you can attend. Its a long ways away, but so much planning to do. Plus, it will take me that long to get all my toys put up and stay out of trouble.

  12. pegetables - that's a funny name cuz our mom's name is peg and she is a vegetarian! she's a pegetable! hee hee snort snort!!

we're gonna look for those too, they look good. we met a lab yesterday at the vet's office who told us that he ate 12 corn cobs when he was a puppy and had to have surgery to have them removed. that's not so good, so take it easy on the corn cobs, okay kids?

thanks for your comments to mom. she is pretty stressed out right now. she's all worried about us and our rehabilitation - Bailey has to spend 3 months in a crate! it's a lot of stuff that she has to worry about, but she's such a worrier. she tells us not to worry, cuz it's her job, and she does it a lot x 4.

    woofs!

  15. Maybe he didn't mean it in an old lady way, maybe he meant your sweetness reminds you of a beloved family member. I'm sure that's what it was.

  17. That's a nice nickname, Maggie! But I don't think you look like an old lady. If you're an old lady, that makes me an old man since our birthdays are so close! So you are very young. ;)

  23. Maggsie!

If you look like your Nonna, then she must of been a sprightly sassy gal who looked DECADES younger than she was. (Silly dad.)

I too love pegetables, but wolf them down too fast. I sent Bogart his first "fix" of pegetables and now he's hooked too. (Is there a Pegetables Anonymous in your area? Just in case you need it.)

    Goober love & smooches,
    Stanley

  29. Hi Maggie
Your Nonna must have been very pretty even when she was old coz you look so very pretty.
I've never heard of Petevegies before. Our mum is a pain coz she will only give us natural stuff and she always checks the labels and so many doggie treats in Australia come from Thailand and have so many preservatives in them so we're stuck with natural food.

  42. Humans are so unfair. They wake you out of a nice slumber, photograph you before you have to to rearrange your (truly splendid) beard and moustache, then accuse you of looking old!

If I could operate a camera, you can bet I would be posting pictures of Mum looking as old as Methusela.

still, as long as you get to lick the beaters, eh!
