The Woman's Heart

We loved Riley and Star's comment yesterday about dad's Not Enough Feet posting:

"OMD! Is he related to I-melted Marcos?
A woman's heart huh? Well it could be a lot worse if you get my drift? So be happy it's just shoes!"

HA - Just too many shoes, you say?
This is dad's collection of Carhartt jeans! He has them in every single color that was ever invented and his favorite color is the tan ones! So he has 25 pair of tan so he doesn't run out - EVER!

He has more jeans than will fit in his cupboard, which is HUGE!
Mom has no clue where to put them all so she goes into our attic room - the same one we get groomed in - and she keeps stacking them! One day she won't be able to reach the top of the stack and she'll need a 12 foot ladder! Some other day, we will have to show you dad's collection of Indian motorcycle jackets! It would make any Indian motorcycle rider just drool!
And then there's the collection of the Indian motorcycles themselves!
The list goes on and on!
Dad's woman donor must have been one heck of a shopper!

Another request came in. That's mom and dad and our sissy, Melissa and hubby, Jim.
Pay no attention to the words in the center of the photo. The photographer, at long last, finished with the wedding photos and Melissa and her hubby are going through oodles of pictures to choose just the very best for their wedding album!
BTW, we don't have any nieces or nephews yet. Aunt Maggie and Uncle Mitch!
Hey, that sounds kinda nice! We like that!
So until next time.................

Love ya lots,

Maggie and Mitch

  3. So many jeans! I bet you hardly ever have to do laundry, or does he just wear 2-3 of them over and over. Poor dad. It isn't easy having a shopping affliction. What next? 597 work shirts? Hehehe.

  8. Wow, that is amazing!!! Our Dad has lots of "stuff" too but most of it just needs to be tossed. He hates to part with anything even if he doesn't wear it. We think we need to learn more about your Mom's wardrobe, but maybe she is more into the kitchen stuff.

    Have a great weekend.

  9. Lovely family in the wedding photo. Your Daddy's jeans collection is larger than our Mommy's and in more colors. She wants to get some Carhartts - her's wear out too quick.

  10. Wow, your dad is quite the amazing guy!! So he has MORE than enough pairs of jeans to wear one with each pair of clogs?? Hey, he could wear two pairs at a time in case he got a hole in one (mom says that is a golf joke too...). Yes, I agree with Mango; now you must show us what dad wears on his upper half too!

  11. guess it's time to build another building to put the jean and shoe collection in! as for the shopaholic...our dad is definitely one... he can't go into a store w/o coming out with "stuff" -- up and above the reason he first went in the store for. lots of times it's toys for us, so we're not complaining. tell your mom... never ever let your dad loose in cabellas...ever. danger danger will robinson....
on that note we're off to run in the snow!!! finally a little bit o'white stuff for us blue dogs.

  12. Well, our Darlings,

We hate to tell you this, but an Intervention is greatly needed here!

We think you and your mommy need to a have a heart to heart talk with your daddy.

Meet with him in his closet and make him face his up to his addiction, then send him to CA!

No, not California, silly doggies, but Clothes Anonymous and for two years! That ought to cure him!

You don't have to thank us, we are more then happy to help!

    Luv, your pals,
    Riley and Star.

  13. Oooh! You caught Mom's attention with the Indian motorcycle collection - she doesn't need to see the jackets, but is very interested in the bikes! But those pants? Um. He might just have a teensy bit of a problem. I'm just saying...

  14. Oh my! Me thinks you guys have more than me Mom and Dad (but you have 26 years of marriage on them too). Your Mom and Dad look too young to be married 37 years!

We just love keeping up with you guys! Me furmom says that she would like to have a girls night soon, and Maggie is invited. Mitch, we'll have a pawker game and hit some pubs or something.

  16. OMD your Dad has SSSooooo many Carhart pants. We thought our daddy had so many jeans, but yours has ours WAyyy beat!! For sure it must be his wonderful new heart that plugged in the fashionista in him. We've heard of non-athletes becoming super sportsman after the miracle of a Xplant...never heard of this though.Well, he'll never get caught with his Carharts down!BOL!!

We can't let our dad see this post about the Indian motorcycle jackets.Mommy is trying to get him to sell his little Vino(cycle) thingy and it might give him ideas. His family all used to ride Indians when he was young.

  39. First, your dad has lots and lots of pants! Between you and me, I think pants are kinda stupid. Who needs 'em? But humans seem to be all aghast at the thought of going without. They are Most Mysterious to me sometimes.

And I LUVS the picture of your family! They are Most Beautiful!
