Hi everybody! It's me, Francesca!
Mom and I were out in the garden taking a peek at our new yellow Oriental Lily that mom found for $2.
When we came back inside, mom gave me a cookie and put it on my nose like we've seen other doggies do on the blogs. These doggies let it sit there until they get the release command and then they can eat their cookie! I'm a trained girl, ya know!
Mitch noticed the cookie on my nose while I was waiting for my release command and he STOLE it from me - right off my nose! How rude!
Mom had this great idea to try and teach Maggie and Mitch this same trick! HA!
The cookie kept sliding off Maggie's nose and she was getting freebies!
Mom kept trying to place the cookie on Maggie's nose and telling her to wait and it just wasn't working!
And Mitch wasn't buying it either! Put your head down, Mitch!
You doggies are way too stubborn! Mom gives up and so do I!
Maggie and Mitch are totally not cookie-on-the-nose trick trainable!
Does any doggie have any tips for us or are they doomed to be dummies?!

We were at befunky a couple of days ago and we noticed that they had added a new feature. This photo was underpainted! Isn't it so cool?!
See you all next Wednesday!
Friends forever,
Francesca
There is NO WAY we'd allow a biscuit to sit on our noses! Maggie and Mitch have the right idea.
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Kendra & Bella
PeeS, That looked like a scottie in your garden, 'cept for the tail.
Yes that is a very cool underpainted effect!
ReplyDeleteThe cookie on the nose - must have been a human who came up with that one!
As bassets we fail to see the point - let's just eat the cookie.

ooops.....we forgot to say we loved the lillies! Ours look as though they may come out any day now.......!
ReplyDeleteWe Aire-kids are just too food driven to allow someone to place a cookie BEHIND our nose! Besides that, we probably can't sit still long enough. Good luck with that though!
ReplyDeleteAire-hugs,
Penny & Patches
Ha! Momma tried that one with me, too, but I just went cross eyed and refused to have anything to do with it. More of a wheelie trick in my book.
ReplyDeleteSlobbers,
Mango
I just don't understand that cookie on the nose trick and like Mango refuse to do it. Sometimes are people can be so silly.
ReplyDeleteWoofs and Licks,
Maggie Mae
There's NO WAY I could ever let a cookie go uneaten even for a second!
ReplyDeleteYou are very well trained indeed Autumn!
Java was an expert at cookie on the nose - we doubt that any of us will be doing it though! BOL!!

I could never learn that treat on the nose trick either. The treat would be in my mouth before it got to my nose!
ReplyDeleteWoof! Woof! Tried that COOKIE thing ... I just bark. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
ReplyDeletemuzzer has tried the cookie trick. We snatch it before it gets to the nose. Not in our bag of tricks either!
ReplyDeletegussie
I haven't had much luck learning that trick either. Probably because my nose goes IN rather than OUT of my face. Mom says she's gonna try again with a really small cookie & put it in the divot between my eyes!
ReplyDeleteSnorts-
Brutus the Frenchie
Mom hasn't even tried that one with us. Don't think it would work!
ReplyDeletePlay bows,
Zim
We think it's more than enough that we have to either sit, dance, do a down, or give a paw to get a $#^**#@ treat. Cookie on nose? Fahgedaboutit!

If that were me that cookie would be G O N E!
ReplyDeleteThey've never tried the cookie trick on me....Puffy the Perfect could do it, even with cheese. Maybe SHE's smarter than she lets on by not even trying it with me. I'll get back to you and let you know if it works. I'm going in the kitchen now and telling her I wanna try it. I figure it's good for a handful of nummies before she catches on.

PeeEssWoo: My word is BUCTIONI - isn't that a kind of pasta?
Mom's golden retriever Ginger used to be able to do the cookie treat but we, being sibes, don't see the point - cookies are for eating, not balancing on the snooter, right?
ReplyDeleteWoos - Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
Pee Ess - that underpainted photo is cool, very interesting.
Treat on the nose... no, this does not go. *lol*
ReplyDeleteIt always falls down.
But Tread shortly before him on the knee or the ground lay, this functions up to the release.
We have practiced long.
Kisses of Mischka
I would never let a cookie remain on my nose! Cookies are for eating very quickly!! Lots of love, Holly
ReplyDeletehi francesca!
ReplyDeleteemmitt says he does not have a nose to put a cookie, but if he did, he would be gobbling them up just like m & m.:)

No Cookies on the nose around here either! We are very lucky that we can get it out of the treat jar without it be snatched up never mind the nose
ReplyDeleteThat is cool. Mom wants to try it.
ReplyDeleteWe aren't treat on the nose dogs either. We're treat in the tummy dogs.
Cookie on nose....how about cookie in mouth! C'mon we are Airedales!
ReplyDeleteWyatt
Hi, Francesca!
ReplyDeleteMaggie and Mitch sure had fun "learning" that trick!
You should do what they do so you will get lots of treats too!
Happy Wednesday!
Kisses and hugs

Easy honey, not everybody can do that cookie-on-nose trick. Definitely not me! Hahahah. Now see how well you've done. Cuddles.
ReplyDeleteCookies don't belong on the nose they belong in the tummy. M and M have it right.

ReplyDeleteWHY would any doggie just lets a perfectly good cookie sit on their nose without eating it? That's just crazy-wacko! I thinks Maggie and Mitch haves the trick right and your mom has it wrong.
