Blue's Colored Thursday - Gold and a Sad Good-by

We are just devastated to learn of the passing of our dear sweet friend, Opy.    We have known her for 4 years and for those 4 years she always portrayed herself as gruff.    Well, you didn't fool us for a second, Opy - we always knew that underneath that gruff exterior you had a heart of gold and you were the sweetest girl ever and a wonderfully loving friend to both angel Charlie and Benson and to your mom and dad.
Run free sweet girl.  We will never forget you.

This week's color was our choice because it's Christmas week.   If you want to play along, just click here.

We chose gold - shiny gold as in picture frames. We thought it might be fun to post old photos in gold frames!

This is our mom when she was a little bit younger~

And this would be our great grandmother in the first two gold frames and the third frame would be our gramp when he was a baby.   awwwwwwwwwwww

Hey, that's me - Miss Maggie
And this would be our sissy when she was in elementary school~
And this gold frame holds our sissy on her wedding day with mom and dad.
The youngest boy in this picture is our dad!  Isn't he super cute?  The other two hoomans are his sissy and brother.
And this would be our dad on Nantucket standing in front of the Bartlett truck!  The back of the truck is full of the most beautiful flowers and it's a picture that we take every year on our summer vacation!
Next week's colors are red and green together!

So until next time..............

Love ya lots
Maggie and Mitch

  9. We were also very sad at the passing of Opy, you are so right, she wasn't gruff at all. Just a dear, sweet gal.

Gold is such a great color. Mom says the trend is all silver and platinum these days but she still prefers the gold. Great photos to cherish along with the memories.

Happy Holidays to you and family.
