Never Forget

We had just come back from our walk around the block - just me and mom and dad. Mitch hadn't even been born yet.   We headed into dad's workshop and he turned on his radio, like he always does at the start of the day and we heard the shocking news in disbelief.
Dad also  has a TV in his workshop.    We stood there in horror as the events unfolded right before our eyes!

We will never forget!

God bless America!

Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch

  1. I hadn't been born yet, either, but my mom was at Dad's business 'cause it was one of those days when he couldn't go, so she went instead.

We will never forget and we hope the hijackers are suffering in HELL!

  2. B and I were both at work. I had no idea what happened but had a voicemail from B that I needed to get home at once. I dropped everything and as I was driving in the car I heard the news. Watched the second tower collapse live on TV.

  5. My family was talking noisily before the tv, waiting for news to start. Then came a quick news intermission, Dad and I looked at each other and asked, ' Is that a new movie? ' It was very sad.

God bless America, and peace to the world.

  9. A friend in Boston called and woke me. He said New York was under attack. I stayed glued to the TV all day trying to get in touch with family and friends in The City. It was a scary time and it seems like yesterday.

    Be safe.

  11. I was here, with Storms and Ammy. Dave was somewhere between here and Texas; hadn't joined the family yet. I remember the girls and I having a lot of wet cheeks to nurse, as Mom prayed for her brother who was at the Pentagon. Thankfully, he was blasted out of his chair, but ok!
We will never forget the attack on our nation!

  12. Beautiful photo. Sissy's parents hadn't even been born yet, and I think Gretchen had at least one parent that hadn't been born then...

  17. I wuz not here either.
Mom was at work when someone told her a plane had crashed into the WTC. Mom's sister was flying from Albany NY to DC that morning. Until mom finally talked to her sister later in the day, it was a scary time for all of the family. The next day mom drove down to bring her home. We wil never forget.

    Blessings,

  18. Hi Maggie and Mitch, we weren't born yet either but it still makes my dad very, very sad. He says it's been 10 years but he still can't watch the news footage for very long. He hasn't forgotten and neither should you.

  25. I wasn't born yet that day but with my human there was my predecessor. She told me they were in the kitchen, she was beginning to study and as usual she turn on the tv with no sound and they saw the towers. Her parents were on vacation and they used a plane to go to Sardinia and she was worried. She felt safe only because she was with her dog at her side.We spent this anniversary watching documentaries and she showed me a lot of American Dogs helping People...
