Wheelie Wednesday - Mitten Update

Hi everybody!  It's me, Autumn. 

We have been busy knitting away and adding to our mitten garland.  Mom has also been having fun decorating the mittens~
 She took a ride to Michael's and found some fun snowflake and holly and doggie buttons.
Check out the sock monkey mitten!  So far that's my favorite one!
 The sock monkey mitten and this snowman are needle felted. 
 These mittens are all needle felted too.  They haven't made it to the garland over the fireplace yet. 
 Mom is having a blast knitting and decorating all of these mittens.   It gives her something to do at night while she watches TV.

This is the next color on the needles!

    We are in awe of your mom's creativity! Ya know, we think she should get photo buttons made of Miss Maggie and Mitchy, and of course, one for you and make you each a mitten of your own. Now that would be a very special garland!

    I use to knit but my hands will not let me do that any more!!! I use to sew but I haven't done that in 2 years.
    The old girl isn't what she use to be!!!

    I had a close look at the gorgeous mittens and I didn't understand what the difference is between knitting and needle felting. Is it that you wash the mittens in hot water after you make them?

    PeeEss: the white around the cabin isn't snow this time. It is crushed limestone that is very heat resistant and helps minimize fire danger and hold down dust.

    Ohhhh! I finally get it. The mittens have needle felting ON them. I'm so silly. They are just gorgeous. I must show them to my sister, who also does felting and some needle felting.
