Our dad climbed Mount Washington a few days ago with three friends of his.
The temperature the day of the climb was 32 degrees and the windchill made it feel like it was 16 degrees - brrrrrrrrr
Yup, they had snow!
This doesn't look anything like our Sleeping Giant hiking grounds, thank goodness!
Dad said the wind almost blew him over!
His smile must be frozen in place, right!
Okay, now this doesn't look so bad!
Look what he brought us!
We don't get to eat those, Molly. They're really for mom!
What were we doing while dad was away?
Staying warm and cozy - that's for sure.
And we were doing a lot of this kind of stuff!
We're glad you're back safe and sound, dad! We missed you!
Love ya lots,
Mitch and Molly
Now that is just to cold for us. It's in the 90's here so maybe a little snow would be OK.
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures of you 2 together!!

What a climb! Hope no frostbite was found on Mt. Washington. And we are glad that you guys play bitey face, it is our favorite game, but we thought maybe you were too well behaved to indulge.

My Vickie salutes your dad for doing that. What a hike that is. I would love to do it one day too but My Vickie says it is too far away for us now. I like what you did while he was gone too. All around fun for everyone.

ReplyDeleteI am sure that your dad is even MORE glad to be home... to be with YOU TWO!!
We drove up Mt. Washington many summers ago and when we got out of the car we almost blew away and it was cold then...so I can see that it would be so cold now. Brrr...M and M are getting along mahvelously, dahlinks!

OK, I am totally loving those googly eyed bitey face photos. Now that's what I call FUN!
ReplyDeleteI am super impressed your dad climbed that big mountain. Back a hundred years ago when my momma was "in shape" she tried to do the same thing but she didn't get very far above the tree line before she totally wimped out and turned back.
