On Saturday morning, mom and I ran an errand together and as we were returning to our car, we glanced down and there was a pretty shiny penny right at our feet.
Mom picked it up and put it in her pocket for good luck.
A day later, she remembered the penny and took it out of her pocket to look at the issue year. The year on the penny is 1998 - the year that angel Maggie was born!
I know for sure now that angel Maggie arranged and approves of me living with my new family. There is no doubt in my mind!
Thank you, angel Maggie. I can tell you that there isn't a day that goes by that your name isn't mentioned with love and smiles and even a tear!
I gotta find the perfect spot for my special penny!
Love ya lots,
Molly
Perhaps the perfect place for that special penny you and your mom found, could be if your family drilled a hole in the lucky penny and attached it to your collar, so the year angel Maggie was born is always close to your heart.
ReplyDeleteLove and woofs,
Riley
Awww, That made Mine and Furballs eyes water. Sniff, sniff, Riley has the bestest idea! Then angel Maggie will always be with you. :)

Aww... how sweet...
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely find! I often think of Maggie too - what loving memories your readers have of her.
ReplyDeleteA gift from Angel Maggie just for you molly!!!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet! A gift from Angel Maggie!
ReplyDeleteMolly dear, I'm sure Angel Maggie is happy that you're there to play with Mitch and to keep Dad and Mom company!
Even though you are a special little girl in your own right Molly and you have your own personality - we bet there is a little bit of Miss Maggie in you too and this was her way of showing that to your Mom and Dad
ReplyDeleteRILEY is RIGHT.
ReplyDeleteSo cool! I'm so happy you're there with your family, too!
ReplyDeleteI think it was wonderful finding the penny :) I am sure Maggie approves :)
ReplyDeleteI hope Maggie and Farfel are having a happy, great, time :)
Patti and Star
Awwww that was beautiful. There isnt a day that goes by that Freds not thought of so I totally understand.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely find. and a lovely telling too. You are good at this stuff Miss Molly.
ReplyDeletegussie n teka
I love the idea of putting the penny on Molly's collar in some way!
ReplyDeleteOn the Canine Cancer group I belong to they talk about watching for pennies from our Angels. Many things can be "pennies", a rainbow, a shaped cloud, or even the feeling of deja vu. My first penny from Ceilidh was a rainbow on the day I ran Beckett at his first agility fun match.
ReplyDeleteHi Molly, see - things are going to be just fine :)
ReplyDeleteThat is just so very sweet, Molly. We know that Maggie is always watching you and Mitch from the Rainbow Bridge with much love.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
What a great story!
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
That is just downright PERFECT, Mollie!
ReplyDeleteLuv,
Dave
Riley's right - you gotta get your Dad to drill a hole in the penny so you could attach it to your collar. Then Angel Maggie will be close to you always.
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Ruby
Aw, Maggie is letting you know that you're doing a good job at kieeping Mitch and her humans company!

wow what a great find! just don't EAT it! hahaha
ReplyDeleteI think you should glue it to a big rock and put in a memory garden by some favorite Maggie plants!
Oh that is a very special penny for sure.
ReplyDeleteI think it was sent from Angel Maggie just to remind everyone that she is always around- watching over your shoulder-- yes, she is your angel, and even though she is very busy being an angel- she always has time to remind you she is there.

Molly, that is so sweet that Maggie sent you a pressie. I just know she would approve of you and is watching over you and Mitch.
ReplyDeleteLoveys Sasha
Maggie has sent a sign that she is OK at the Bridge and is watching over her family.
ReplyDeleteOur Bentley used to collect pennies and other shiny things that he found. Mom always checked the dates on them and found one really old one that she kept with a lock of his hair.
ReplyDeleteMorgan and the Porties
That is sooo cool! Maggie is sending hellos! Love that :)
ReplyDeleteWe had not visited since last Monday, so we were catching up on your week. Lee woke up this morning feeling really blue. Well her second scotty was Half Pence, but Lee said he was her lucky penny. Lee always called him Penny. He could tell when her Waldenstrom Lymphoma was going high and would just tug on her to stop her. Lee has tears now.
ReplyDeleteThanks for being a friend,
Sweet William The Scot
