A Very Special Gift

As you know, mom discovered angel Maggie's mouth tumor on Christmas day so some days are more difficult to get through this time of year.

The mailman brought us an envelope a few days ago.    It's from our very good friend, Blue.
She purchased this painting in memory of angel Maggie after she crossed and is now sending it to mom, who is so extremely touched.
The painting is just beautiful and we will treasure it forever~
Until we frame it, the painting sits next to the Airedale and carrot butternut dish that mom carved with the needle felted "Maggie" that mom made years ago.  She also made the snow woman.  For now, the painting is in the most perfect spot.
Thank you so very much, Blue.  Your sweet and thoughtful gift means the world to us.

    What a special gift! Angel Maggie is well-remembered and honored.

    Sissy went blind in her left eye on Christmas Eve. Yet another reason to not want to go to the inlaws' extended family thing; I'd feel better not letting her out of MY sight.

    That is a beautiful painting. What a wonderful friend Blue is.

    I didn't know that we shared almost the same terrible day. K's osteosarcoma was diagnosed on Christmas Eve. While I was reeling, you were having your own tragic day.

    It does make this season harder, doesn't it? I'm working hard at appreciating those who are here with me now and realizing that K is still with me in my heart. I feel sure that the same is true for your family and for Maggie living on in your heart.
