A Holiday

We're taking the day off!  Dad and mom have been shoveling and snow blowing and moving snow with dad's John Deere and they're POOPED and sore so they are taking a break today!

This was Saturday~
And this is at the end of the day on Sunday.
Our driveway is clear and we are able to get out.  Deepwood Lane, the street next to us, has one path down the middle of it still and the next street up hasn't seen a plow yet.  Schools are closed and the governor is telling peeps who can stay home to please stay home so the workers can continue their clean-up efforts.
It's raining here today.  Rain on top of snow is so not fun but we did get some of our walkie in!
 Cookies please!!
The waterfowl are all happy and safe!
The ice is discolored from dad tossing food to them and well, from poops too.
 Time for some indoor fun!
So until next time..........

Love ya lots,
Mitch and Molly

  3. When I raised ducks, I was always amazed that as soon as we broke the ice on the pond, they'd jump right in. They must have built in heaters.

And on top of the Already HEAVY snow you are getting RAIN which makes it even MORE difficult to work with...

  9. A well deserved day off. We were wondering how the warns and duckies were coping - good to see they are all fine.

  10. That looks so beautiful! Well, except for the rain falling on top of the snow - we know that can make things mighty slick. Stay safe - and take good care of your mom and dad. That's a LOT of shoveling!

  12. Well let's hope that the melting goes slowly - too fast and you'll have flooding. It's raining up here too. After a beautiful sunny day yesterday, it's cold and raining again today :( Glad that everyone is well down your way.

  14. The important thing is you GOT your WALKS. The snow always looks beautiful...until it's slush. Enjoy your holiday.

  15. We love it when Mom takes a day off (like she did today - a 'mental health day', as she called it)! Moving all that snow IS a ton of work - we get tired just watching our Mom and Dad shovel and plow and use the snowblower when we get big storms! It's tough! ;-) And yes, we noticed the similarity in header photos - and we love it!!! Enjoy your snow/slush/ice!

  20. Brrrr....! That looks so cold and surreal! Glad you are safe. With that amount of snow (and shoveling), it's time to get those feet up besides a warm fire.
