Our mom has discovered from watching You Tube videos how to make the perfect french knot so she's been going french knot nutty!
The strawberry seeds and the flower centers are french knots.
Look alive, Molly - you're supposed to be modeling the give-away candle mat!
This will be our first time using the randomizer so please leave only one comment so it's fair to everybody. This give-away is open to everyone. You do not have to live in the USA. The give-away will start now and end on Wednesday at 5PM EST.
Ready, set, GO!
We'll be back in a couple of days to announce the winner! Good luck!
Remember the cupola that dad and mom have been working on at Crumpie's?
Dad and his helpers delivered it to Rhode Island yesterday. That's the barn that it will go on that's in the background. The raising will be sometime in July.
So until next time............
Love ya lots,
Mitch and Molly
The cupola is finally going home. How exciting. Can't wait to see how they get it up there.
ReplyDeleteWe have friends in RI.
The French knots look great.
XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy

You are giving away the beautiful strawberries....that is so sweet of your mom. The finished cupola looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteThe candle mats are lovely, so I'd love to be included in your competition.
ReplyDeleteEileen and Annie
Oh Molly, you look so sweet with the beautiful strawberry candle mat!
ReplyDeleteThe cupola is amazing!
Woof! Woof! The strawberry was the one we like. It's beautiful and very nice of your mom. WOW! cupola looks great! Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
ReplyDeleteI love that strawberry candle mat. So the next question is how do you move a cupola that far?
ReplyDeleteMillie
Hi Mitch and Molly, your dad is getting pretty darn good at building cupolas. We love the candle mats.
ReplyDeleteWow....you have so much talent in your family! Beautiful work on both counts!
ReplyDelete:)
So very pretty - all of it! I'm fascinated by the cupola; it's going to be a stunning addition.
ReplyDeleteOh, gosh! That is GAWJUSS! Your mom really is super talented. If I won, I'd give it to my mom because she would never be able to make one of those on her own. She hardly knows how to make an AMERICAN knot in her shoes, much less a french one.
ReplyDeleteWiggles & Wags,
Mayzie
We love the candle mat and know right where it will go
ReplyDeleteBenny & Lily
Cupolas and candle mats...always so creative!
ReplyDeleteWirey love,
Jake and Just Harry
Wow that Cupola is really gonna set that barn off. Ohhh, Ohhhh, loves them mats, put us in the pot!
ReplyDeleteThe Mad Scots
Our Mom is so jealous. She makes absolutely horrible French knots. None of them ever match. Whenever she can she uses beads instead. Please tell her where to go to learn to make nice neat knots so she stops using those bad words.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
Morgan, Sebastian, the Porties, Syd and Mac
Those candlemats are very, very cool. Your mom peep, and dad peep, too, are very, very talented.
ReplyDeleteI think I need a dog house to go under that cupola INSIDE my house. That would be kinda neat. (I'm not much on outside doghouses.)
ROOOO, Stuart
The mat is soooo beautiful! Mommy and I love the pictures of your cupola and all house projects.
ReplyDeleteLoveys Sasha
We do love those candle mats. And the cupola came out so beautifully. We can't wait to see more about the raising in July.
ReplyDeleteSo what's next on Mom and Dad's project list???
Woos - Phantom, Thunder, Ciara, and Lightning
The cupola is amazing and we wish we had a barn to have one of our own. Since Tgat is not possible, the next bestest thing would be the Candlemat!!
ReplyDeleteYour furiends,
Winston, Chloe, Cecil and Mom Shawn
Your mum's candle mat looks beautiful. She learned to make French knots really good. My mum says it's too pretty for a candle to hide it. I like that cupola.
ReplyDelete--from Hannah.
Oh, they're both soooo beautifuls!! (I stand corrected, all THREE (Molly, too!) are sooo beautifuls!
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Ruby
Your peeps are so clever! Making all these lovely things!
ReplyDeleteI remember learning French knots in embroidery club in junior high (I doubt there is such a club anymore). I also used to tune into The Art of Embroidery on our local PBS station (I think the name of the hostess was Erica Wilson). Count me in for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteThe cupola is magnificent.
Mango Momma
Your mom is so clever with her handicraft! The Missus loves to do stuff like these but she has been busy lately. Ho hum... next time.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Homer
Most excellent cupola. AND that candle mat is beautiful. We have deduced that your mama is actually several women rolled into one. She is way too talented (AND BUSY)to be just one lady!!

I do love seeing the updates from Miitch & Molly with the cupolas progression.
Happy Spring, finally!

Your mom and dad are both SO talented. The candle mat is gorgeous and the cupola is amazing. I'd love to have either of their talents!
ReplyDeleteYouTube is wonderful for polishing up new skills. I think your candle mat is gorgeous. And that cupola is amazing. Maggie and Mitch, you are lucky to live with such talented humans.
ReplyDeleteThat's a very lovely candle mat, I love picking strawberries.
ReplyDeleteI really like seeing the cupolas come together; it's really neat.
The cupola looks great! You have very talented pawrents! The candle mat is gorgeous! My mom used to know how to make French knots, but I bet she can't remember! She DID finally use her crochet hook and thread! She has done 3 rows! Woohoo! AND she baked US some cookies this morning! Woohoo AGAIN! I sure hope she wins the candle mat!

Hi, Mitch and Molly -
ReplyDeleteYour pawrents are so talented - your Dad with the cupola and your Mom with the candle mats.
There were some french knots in the Christmas tablecloth that Mama finished. She thinks that the french knot is the worst embroidery stitch invented.
All of the candle mats look so pretty it is hard to choose a favorite one.
Love -
Hershey and Kaci
