The ones around here flowered weeks ago...now they are just greed trees . There is one over at the pard that mom loves because it is scented and smells so pretty. Only one she has found like that.
I love dogwoods and we use to have so many and the years without enough rain killed off so many!!! I am surprised you have one. I didn't know they grew that far north!! YAY for you!!!
The dogwood was the tree chosen to construct the Cross ~ holes in the tips of the pedals signifying the nails that were driven into the Cross. Lovely picture. Thanks for being a friend Sweet William The Scot
Love dogwoods!! Our dogwoods were so gorgeous this year and they stayed in bloom for 2-3 weeks as it turned chilly. They best dogwoods we've seen in years!
SHE loves dogwoods. State Flower or tree or something of Virginia. Always a couple in the yard when SHE was a kid.

Our state tree and flower, and a personal favorite as well! That's one of the nicest photos I've seen.
ReplyDeleteNow that looks tasty, haven't got one of those in my garden, and I've nearly finished eating the Christmas Tree!

Dogwoods are very nice. I think that Dogwoods are our province's (similar to a state) official flower/horticultural thingy.
