Our Celebration of Life Pawty

Today is our annual celebration of life pawty.  It takes place in dad's workshop later on this afternoon. We've been cleaning and spiffing up all week long.   We are guessing that there will be about 70 peeps coming and everyone brings a foodable or a beverage to share so that means lots of  yummy stuffs!
Dad was at his favorite neighborhood grocery store a couple of weeks ago and as he was leaving, he noticed free candy sitting on a table.   He spotted two huge candy bars - one was white chocolate and the other one was milk chocolate and he brought them home.  Our mom loves white chocolate and she's been rewarding herself with squares of it for helping dad clean his shop and prepare for his event.    She is not as fond of  milk chocolate or the darker chocolates so she decided to chop the bar up and make Chocolate Chunk Peanut Butter bars for the pawty.
We're the official tastetesters and helpers~
Mom emptied a peanut butter jar and this spatula was loaded with peanut butter from the rubber end to halfway up the handle.  No problem, mom - we're here to help!
We need to clean this jar before you toss it into the recycle bin.   We're on it!
For some reason, she has been VERY stingy about sharing those chocolate chunks with us but she did allow us to lick her mixer beaters before the chocolate pieces were added to the batter.
All baked and ready to be cut into bars for the pawty.  yummmmmmm
Guess what?
It's snowing here!
We hope it doesn't keep any peeps away.  If it does, more yummy foodables for us!

So until next time.............

Love ya lots♥

  4. That's a great event. We should all remember to have celebration of lives, even if we don't have to have a transplant. We think your mum was very generous with the beaters and jar. Hope there are some leftovers!

  8. Peanut butter. Yum! Best to stay away from the chocolate, though.

Once Chester got hold of a jar of cocoa butter and ate half of it. The humans freaked out and called the emergency vet, only to find out that it's not poisonous as the name might suggest. Still, she locks that stuff away now. Better safe than sorry.
