Supervising or Helping

We had a tough decision to make yesterday.  It was either supervise dad on the making of new basement doors or help mom prepare Easter dinner.    hummmmmmmmmm
Which job would you choose?

Dad decided a very short time ago, that he wanted to widen the door that goes into our basement so he asked our mason friend for help.

And we can't very well leave this huge hole in our house for just anyone or anything to sashay inside, so doors need to be built.    Dad is getting there with lots of help from us!
Meanwhile, mom was in the kitchen preparing manicotti and for dessert, our Nonna's rice pie.   If you want the recipe, go here and you can see angel Maggie helping  mom make it☺

We decided  to help dad out in the workshop so we missed sampling all of the yummy ingredients that went into the manicotti and into the rice pie.
But mom made it up to us.   Yes, we did get a forkful of manicotti and a forkful of rice pie and we were very happy Dales!
We hope your Easter was as yummy as ours was!

Love ya lots♥

  5. They make great bunnies. Did you get the doors finished. I'm sure the guard dogs took care of any sashayer's!
Thanks for coming over meeting my little duck family. This is the 3rd spring we've seen them. I'm not sure they are actually nesting here. Maybe only honeymooning. They are here about 2 weeks and then we don't see them anymore. I've seen them more this year. Never have the camera ready though. I'm thinking I need to keep it in the entrance hall instead of upstairs. Well have a good week. See you soon.

  7. Unless my Dad was building a fully stocked kitchen, I would never leave a kitchen where there was cooking being done. BOL! *ear licks* Noodle

  8. We are sure that no food can be cooked to completion at our house without dogs in attendance.

  9. We would probably chosen to help with the yum yums! We tend to shy away from anything Dad might be trying to fix since the Great Door Debacle a few years ago. Too scary for us with the power tools and banging and yelling!

So glad you had a nice Easter!

  12. That bigger door will make it a lot easier to bring big items in and out for sure. We think we might have stayed in the kitchen with Mom and hoped for some crumbs to fall on the floor. We love helping with the cleanup.
