We are joining Rosy for Flower Friday!
We weren't sure what kind of flowers we were going to find on our walk seeing as there is snow everywhere~~
We did find this dried up used-to-be-a-flower! The bluish background is snow.
And we found these ice sculptures. We're on Forest Street and it's very narrow and we know that the snowplow had lots to do with creating this and then of course the deep freeze temps helped it to stay this way.
Next to the ice sculptures, we found holly with beautiful red berries☺
I don't want to look at you, mom. The sun is blinding me!
The grasses are so striking in the snow~
When mom grocery shopped this week, they had primroses in the florist department and she couldn't resist the cheerful yellow. So now she has 2 plants that she has to remember to water. Good thing they live in the kitchen!
For not knowing what were were going to find with so much snow out there, we did okay☺ Thanks for walking along with us.
Love ya lots♥
Molly
We'll pretend our walk was around your neighborhood!
ReplyDeleteOur only snow is what the sun misses BUT we might get a dusting on Saturday - as we go from 60+ bakhk to 20something ;-)
Happy FrEYEday!

ReplyDeleteThanks to you and Mom for another wonderful
ReplyDeleteFriday walk.

You did a fantastic job for Flower Friday. We just love the holly and berries. We have a holly tree in our garden but have not managed to find its opposite so it can have berries but it is still pretty at this time of year. I will have to take our camera out and see what we can find, although it is grey and raining here again today. Love the primrose I think they are one of my most favourite flowers. Have a wonderful weekend. Hugs, Susie & Treacle xx
ReplyDeleteOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOh I love the pop of red berries and yellow primrose!! Such a happy little posy!!
ReplyDeleteHugs madi your bfff
Those red berries on the holly do look very tasty....oh dear, got that wrong, Mum's doing the "NO!!" thingy again.
ReplyDeleteThe primroses are such HAPPY flowers, they bright up any day

You did a fabulous post for Flower Friday! We have NO flowers anywhere around here right now...except in the grocery store! Your mom was smart to take pics there (have to remember that!)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful primrose and holly berries!
You found some lovely things to show us for Flower (or Nature) Friday. Those ice sculptures are cool.
ReplyDeleteWow! Those ice sculptures are amazing! Right now, our snow and ice has all melted. There are a few parking lot glaciers, but those aren't very pretty at all. We're sitting tight, though, because we're supposed to get a big blizzard later today!
ReplyDeleteWe think you did VERY okay. Such beauty even if they aren't technically flowers. Love those icy sculptures.
ReplyDeleteWe LOVE the grasses in snow! Some people here cut them before Winter, but we like to leave ours - Mom thinks they add a lot of movement and interest to the gardens all year round! ...maybe except for when she cuts them back in March ...
ReplyDeleteGreat job, Molly!
Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher

We had a day or two of warm weather and rain, now it's cold again and we're getting more snow. The ice sculptures are neat.
ReplyDeleteAren't those primroses just so vibrant and beautiful!!! We really like those ice sculptures too - such a creative plowman:)
