I helped mom make whole wheat cranberry scones yesterday. It's the first time that she's ever made scones. She thinks they came out too thick. Next time she'd better use the ruler and not wing it before they hit the oven!
Mom wasn't sure that I would like cranberries seeing as they are kinda tart. These cranberries are not the dried kind. They come from a bag that was in our freezer.
They are yummy! I like them, mom!
We had a dreary day yesterday and today is more drear and rain. At least the temps are mild and no ice is involved.
Love ya lots♥
Molly

ReplyDeleteI bet they taste yummy too.
We had a pot load of rain overnight and early morning and it helped melt the remainder of the snow on the roof.

Those are HUGE scones, but they look tasty!
ReplyDeleteMom says a good hot cup of tea would go fabulously with one of those scones.
ReplyDeleteWe had so many dreary days here, Molly. We might see a little sun today, but Mom says it is just going to make more mud:(

We agree with Princess Leah about the scones. Sorry you're having dreary weather, but at least you aren't freezing.
ReplyDeleteThose look SUPER yummy! I love cranberries! Of course, I also like the ornamental fruits that the trees drop all over the sidewalks ... ! How can my mom eat cranberries then tell me "NoNoMaggieNoNo" about the sidewalk fruit?!?
ReplyDeleteCrazy.
Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher

Those scones are the right size and certainly the size of our scones over here so you made them just right. I will have to try cranberries, I usually put cherries in mine and everyone likes them or sultanas, raisins or currents can also be used but we like cherries best. Of course if you are the Queen she only eats plain scones with butter and jam of course. You look as if you had a great day inside Molly. Treacle is inside too as we have had high winds and lots of rain today. Stay warm and lots of hugs, Susie xx
