Mom and I got our walk in on Sunday before any precipitation fell.
I hear a hawk!
This must be a maple tree. They're collecting sap to make syrup for their pancakes! The sap looks kinda ice flaky and frozen to me.
I need my ice skates on this sidewalk. Anybody want to join me?!
I'm so glad we got our walk in before the rain started!
Love ya lots♥
Molly
we have the same giant ice skating rink on our streets... I waddle carefully with the mama along so we will make it home in one piece... ironically today is her 3rd hellbow-versary and we have black ice again... what an evil deja vue...
ReplyDeleteStay safe y'all. and carry your cell phones when you are out, just in case.
ReplyDeletelove you
We can relate to this post Molly! Our driveway keeps getting iced over and you can't even tell! Our Dad fell out there last night and it is always a good idea to keep that cell phone handy! You guys be careful while you are out walking!
ReplyDeleteWow definitely an ice rink, you should be in the winter olympics Molly. I have never seen the sap being collected how fascinating. Glad you were able to get your walk in before it rained. They have forecast snow for us today but at the moment it is just really cold. Hugs, Susie & Treacle xx
ReplyDeleteHello Molly. "Waves" Monty and Winnie
ReplyDeleteWe're waiting for a snow storm here in WNY. Hopefully it doesn't hit before ghostwriter gets home from work tonight. Stay warm, pups!
ReplyDeleteIt's supposed to rain a lot this afternoon and tonight. Blech! Glad we got our walkies in already too.
ReplyDeleteStay warm and cuddle!

ReplyDeleteHawks and syrup collection right there in the city!
Hugs madi your bfff
How fun to be collecting maple syrup - any drips fall out for you to taste, Molly?
ReplyDeleteYou are lucky to get a walk with those icy paths. Mom won't walk us unless the ground is dry and clear:(
Woos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
We're supposed to be getting an ice storm starting this afternoon. We'll all stay snuggled in the nice warm house. Mom is afraid of ice since she fell and broke her wrist. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteWe wouldn't like that icy part! Looks dangerous. But we LOVE it when we get in an early walk and THEN it starts to rain.
ReplyDeleteOooh, did you stick your snooter in that bag of sap? I'd sure be tempted! I've never seen anything like that!
ReplyDeleteWe're glad you got your walk in, too. Rain on that ice would make for SUPER slippery conditions!
Yours sincerely,
Margaret Thatcher
We had to do an early walk today to avoid rain too.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a fun walk. Good thing you got it in before the rain came.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun Winter walk Molly! Thanks for taking us along!
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Jakey, Arty & Rosy
We did not know you could just hang a bag on a maple tree somewhere and get sap to make syrup!! how cool!

What a fun walk! Glad you didn't slip on that ice!
ReplyDeleteWow! That's amazing to see the sap being collected. Thanks. I guess it must be a particular type of maple.
