We are joining Rosy and Arty for Flower Friday~
Mackie is helping me search for pretty flowers this week. She didn't bring any treats, Mackie, so stop worshiping her!
We have seen this wildflower all summer. It starts out tubular and eventually, the tube bursts into fluff. We had no idea what it was so mom asked her very knowledgeable herb friend, Miss Jan, and she said that it was Lactuca Virosa, which seems to be in the wild lettuce family.
Mom treated herself to a checkered pumpkin~
And we found Holly with berries in our back yard~
The sunflowers aren't smiling any longer. They have dropped their heads. We do see a lot of birds darting in and out, especially goldfinches. They are the sweetest and prettiest little birdies!
Thanks for walking along with us☺
Love ya lots♥
Molly and Mackie
we love that pumpkin it is absolutely stylish!!! but we hope the mama will pass the pumpkin jobs this year to our dad.. she needs all her fingers to make our food...
ReplyDeleteHere we are, behind again on decorating for Halloween. I like it when the stuffed witches come out. We have some good conversations then, And we have a very erudite scarecrow!

Fun times. I like your pumpkin. Enjoy your weekend.
ReplyDeleteWe love the gold finches too. When they're not eating from our thistle seed feeder, they're eating the seeds from the coneflowers.
ReplyDeleteThat is an interesting wild flower. We love your fall decorations.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great walk and Hello Mackie!! We are just catching up on all our favourite blogs as we have been busy catching up on business work since we got back from Vacation.
ReplyDeleteWe love your pumpkins and I cannot believe you have berries already on the holly. Ours have not appeared yet! Hugs, Susie & Treacle xx
You keep finding the most exotic flowers, we love to see them.
ReplyDeleteWe loved seeing your holly this week, because it gave Mama a big smile, it is one of her most favorites!

I'm sorry the sunflowers aren't smiling anymore. But the good news is that the pumpkins will soon be here!
ReplyDeleteI bet that the Goldfinches think that the sunflowers are still smiling :)
ReplyDeleteWe have a little flock of goldfinches coming to our feeders. They're like little flying Christmas ornaments.
ReplyDeleteThat puffy white flower is very pretty. It makes us think of a very full white dandelion:)
ReplyDeleteWe love your checkered pumpkin. Just don't let Mackie mistake it for a soccer ball - BOL
Hope Mom had some treats ready for you when you got home.
Woos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
We love to watch the goldfinches enjoying our sunflowers as they've gone by too.
ReplyDeleteWe love your Mom's checkered pumpkin - fall decor is our favorite - and I need more!!
