Back in March of 2018, we did a post on my rough foot pads. The condition is called Hyperkeratosis and it will never go away. I will have it for the rest of my life. Before walkies, mom lathers my feets up with Musher's Secret. This happens 365 days a year - winter, spring, summer and fall.
Lately, mom has noticed that when she takes me outside on the driveway, I limp and hurry to get on the grass so she knows that this condition is worsening.
Mom and Auntie Lydia exchange emails not long ago and Auntie Lydia is aware of this disease and has treated a pup with it. She told mom about Tuf-Foot and mom went to Amazon without delay.
We have been using the Tuf-Foot twice a day and it's been 4 days now and we have noticed that my pads are softer, less cracked and less dried-out so we will continue to use the treatment and the other moisturizers as well and hopefully, we can walk a wee bit farther and farther if I'm up for it and if not, there is always my lunge line. Thank you, Auntie Lydia for your very helpful advice!
Love ya lots♥

Thank you for sharing these tips!
ReplyDeleteWe're keeping our paws crossed that your feets continue to feel better. There are a set of booties in that last picture too. We don't like wearing ours in the house but as soon as we get outside it doesn't bother us.
ReplyDeleteMolly we do hope the new cream works well and perhaps all three will make it a little better for your walks. Mind you Treacle is the weather we have does not want to go far either, it is too cold!! Have a great Sunday. Hugs & Love, Susie & Treacle xx
ReplyDeleteLulu: "I'm glad the Tuf-Foot is helping you, Molly! We dogs sure do make a lot of use of our foot pads, after all!"
ReplyDeleteChaplin: "Also, we like that 'Tuf' is spelled the way Dennis would have spelled it."
Charlee: "He probably would have spelled the second word 'Fut' though."
I think our angel Joey dog had that too, but not so bad. He was always very protective about his feet. Hope your feet feel better with that new treatment.
ReplyDeleteYEAH! tuf-foot is helping the Molly footsies. so glad we could help with a suggestion. I did it 3 times a day-the last one at bedtime, then slather on the other ointments. keep on trekking Molly! your mum is doing a great job! love auntie lydia
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry but I am glad treatment helped. Have you tried the booties?
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, you poor sweetie!! I DO HOPE this treatment continues to work!!
ReplyDeleteMom's Kuvasz Katie suddenly started getting weird about walking on certain surfaces like gravel and stuff. It got worse with time, but she had arthritis and other things so it wasn't such a big deal. We do hope your feeties start feeling better soon. We are sad for you.
ReplyDeletethank you for the recommendation.
ReplyDeleteMolly, that must be so uncomfortable for you. But we know your Mom is right on top of things. We hope the new treatments will help a lot. And have you tried those boots yet?
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Oh noes poor you. Hope the new stuff helps.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the advice. We pray your feet stop hurting you.
ReplyDeleteOh Molly, having had paw problems here too, Gail and I do sympathise with both your and your Mom. When I had poorly paws (interdigital cysts), I did that exact same u-turn thing. We do hope the new moisturising cream helps and you are able to walk more comfortably, as it is quite horrid when you can't. We know your Mom will be doing her very best for you. For my particular paw problem, Gail washes thoroughly between my paw pads after almost every walk. She does find this tedious, but knows that if it keeps me free of sore paw, then it's worthwhile. We don't write much about it on my blog 'cos it would get repetitive, but she's been doing this for the last four years ago, and the problem has so far not returned. I am glad that you too have a patient Mom.
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!
Bertie.
PS How are the boots?
Oh, feetie problems are NEVER funs! I knows that! I don't likes my feets touched, so Ma can't imagine this problem on me! BOL! I am super glads your Moms found a good solution, and your feets are now soft as a kitteh's tail.
ReplyDeleteI'll keep my paws crossed they stay soft and subtle furevers!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
Oh Molly. Your mom takes such incredible care of you. But I wish that you didn't have that condition. I hope that the tuf foot stuff helps lots and lots.
