Nature Friday

We are joining Arty today for Nature Friday~

In our backyard, the Lupine and Lavender are blooming~

The Rose Campion is in bloom too.   Mom is not fond of the color of the flowers against the color of the house.  They clash!
She keeps passing by these huge leaves near the holly bushes and has finally decided that is time to weed and pull them out.
Guess what she discovered when she pulled one of the leaves out.  This is rhubarb!  OMD, who knew this was here!   She won't be removing any more leaves now that she knows what it is.
The Daylilies are coming into bloom!
Happy Friday, everybuddy!
Love ya lots♥

Molly

  2. Mom loves rhubarb but it is so very hard to find and expensive. She used to get a lot of it when she lived in Germany she has told us, but here, nothing. Hope you get some you can actually eat.

  9. Lulu: "Rhubarb? Dada says now you need strawberries, and you have yourself a pie!"
Charlee: "That seems like something must be missing. Surely there's more to a pie than rhubarb and strawberries."
Lulu: "Well you know how humans like to oversimplify things."

  11. No, no, not! Colors not clashing Mom, just blending and merging all messy-like-togetherness. Fur real!

  15. Terrific flowers! Our rhubarb plant could be picked this year and Mom made Rhubarb Peach and Ginger Jam. I Marv don't like it, but Cinnamon tells me the little bit she had on a toast corner was delicious!

  17. Before we moved into our house, there was rhubarb. But then they had to put in a new septic system and it all got dug up. We thought it was coming back in at the bottom of the hill, but it turned out to just be weeds (so the opposite happened to us of what happened to your Mom)! Her way went better!

  19. I love daylilies. They would be one of my favorite plants. I have some that die down in winter, and the first year I thought they had died. But in spring the leaves came up again. (Here in Melbourne the leaves of most of them are lush all year, not sure how they are in your area.)
