Nature Friday

We are joining Rosy and Sunny this week for Nature Friday~

The sedum is in bloom and that means that autumn is truly coming!

We found mushroom clusters along the way~
This mushroom was next to someone's mailbox hiding and mom thought that it was a soccer ball until she kicked it lightly with her toe.   You can't tell by the photo but this mushroom is almost a foot around in size!  It's huge!  Mom looked it up and we think it might be a Giant Puffball and guess what - they are edible!   How many meals could this make!
We saw this on facebook and wanted to share~
Happy Friday, everybuddy!

Love ya lots♥

Molly

  1. We don't like to kill spiders but we do remove their pesty webs from things. They need to apply with the city for building permits like everyone else we think! Happy weekend!

  2. Like Dolly Parton once sang..."I hate spiders & snakes".

That 'shroom is aptly named. Love seeing you against the sedum Molly!

  4. I vote for that idea of spiders needing to get building permits as mentioned above.

  7. I don't think I knew sedum bloomed...it is gorgeous.
Thank you so very much for the info about the spider. Anything that helps with the bug population is a good thing. Bity bugs love me.

I used to have lots of spiders in my OZ garden - here in the Hutch, when I find them, I always transfer them to the outside again. They are all people too!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  11. Hi friend, Ojo here! You always show such lovely flowers on your Friday posts, and today's mushrooms look almost like flowers! We take care of our spiders, but I eat all the other crawlies like flies and ants. Happy Friday, friend!

  12. I always love going on walks with you, Miss Molly. Love the beautiful flowers and love seeing you. I don't mess with spiders and most have good work that they do. I'm just not a fan.

Have a woof woof day and weekend. My best to your mom. ♥

  13. You found lots of cool nature around you, Molly. We are always nice to spiders that are outside. Our mom doesn't like them in the house though.

  14. Pretty sedum, Molly. And WOW, that is one gigantic mushroom. Maybe your Mom can make some cream of mushroom soup with it.

  15. I'll be happy if I never see that spider, but I'm glad they are out there doing important work! Our sedum is blooming now too, and we have all kinds of crazy mushrooms around. Haven't seen one the size of a soccer ball though! :)

  17. Lulu: "We have those big orb weaver spiders around here! Mama and Dada leave them alone, but they're also pretty careful to avoid walking into them."
Charlee: "Yeah I just bet they are!"

  18. Happy Friday, Molly. I knew that puffballs were edible but only if they're all white inside, once they've started going to puff, don't eat them.
