Tuesday Tea

Mom made a tea cozy for the very first time. She had lots of fun making it and she probably won't use it for what it's designed for because it's white.   Maybe you need to make another one in a more practical color, mom!    Does anyone want to join me for tea and cookies?

The free pattern for the tea cozy is here.

The free pattern for the holly and berries is here.

She made my knitted collar cover awhile ago using this same holly and berry pattern, which is very simple and works up quickly.  The collar is just a simple garter stitch knitted in the width and length that would fit me best.

Have a terrific Tuesday!

Love ya lots♥

Molly

  6. Thanks Molly! Mom's teapot needs a new cozy and I do believe there is a couple of balls that were not sold at the garage sale in the craft closet downstairs. We LOVE your collar! You look marvellous darling! Now if that is cat mint tea, we would love a cuppa! We hope you and your Peeps have a most wonderful day!

oh Molly, your collar is pawfect - and mum's creative efforts remind me that I've been saying for ages that I need to make tea-cosy - only I crochet and don't knit, but at least I am now inspired!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  8. Mom doesn't like hot beverages, so we have no need for a tea cozy, and she doesn't know how to knit either. We do, however, like to be cozy ourselves :) Your mom is very creative with her knitting needles.

  9. Garter stitch? As far as I got with learning to knit was casting on...from there, I lost it!! Now I'm sure this could be converted to crochet...that, I can handle. I really like this tea cozy Mom.
(And, the stuffed 'friend' Molly is near!!!)

  19. Thank you for the holly pattern. Mom says she'll make me a collar cover if I'm good. Mom has never made a tea cozy because she doesn't think she'd ever use it but she has a great pattern for one with mice all over it. She really wants to make it, but then what would she do with it?
