The news from my vet is that I do NOT have a Lyme flare up and he didn't have a reason for my limpies. Mom knows exactly what is going on. As I'm getting older, my hyperkeratosis is getting worse and it's causing me more pain when I walk, especially outside crossing the rough driveway to get to the grass.
Because we have wall to wall carpeting here, we need to protect Landlord Bob's rugs so mom bought toddler's socks for me. Mom is going to keep me lathered up with paw balm and see if that helps.
I don't have to wear the socks all the time but she said that I have to wear them until the balm gets pretty much absorbed into my dry cracked paw pads.We did go for a short walk on Sunday morning and mom didn't think that I was really enjoying myself as I kept looking at her as if to say, when will we turn around and head back home?
There is no cure for hyperkeratosis. We have to deal with what we have and mom wants to be sure that I am not in any pain. As the colder temps approach, maybe I can wear my boots on morning walkies and we can see how that goes.
Thank you everybuddy for all of your well wishes and POTP. My limpies are gone and we will get through this one day at a time.
Love ya lots♥
Molly
